Coffee With Milk — Restaurant in New York

The folks who work here are friendly and kind, but sadly, this cafe bites off way more than it can chew. The coffee is not good, but the pastries I’ve tried are!

I’ve come to get lunch items multiple times and the quality is sadly really sub-par. Their menu is wider than they can manage, and their staff seems clearly unfamiliar with certain adjustments and ingredients. The menu is also quite misleading, listing things like a salad on it but they don’t have greens. (The attached photo is my “grilled chicken salad” that I asked to have with feta cheese 😂 and yes, the menu didn’t list greens for this! but in what world is this a chicken salad LOL — either mayo based or greens, yall, cmon). Any deli on the block would’ve done a better job than this, and the chicken was deli quality too.

I say this with respect but I think they’d be better off focusing on a few lunch items and doing them well, or improving their coffee service and focusing on breakfast basics because they do have a decent sized space and friendly staff. But after repeatedly giving this spot a chance for months, I’ve seen minimal...

The coffee (latte) was good. However, I ordered a chicken caesar salad, and my eyes widened in surprise when I saw a hidden valley ranch packet included in my bag.

I didn’t realize this wasn’t the type of place to make their own dressing, and if it is then I apologize, but that is definitely not my preference. The salad is plain and minimal. I guess based on other dishes included in the menu I expected more effort-but this was very “deli style” to use the words another reviewer stated.

(The salad was definitely not bad either-still very tasty! I just didn’t want to have cafeteria/deli food so ended up making my own quick dressing at home and eating...

I’ve really really tried to justify spending my coffee budget here because they are locally owned and are 2 mins from my apartment.

I say this with love: the drinks are so bad and the menu so wide, that they’re better off perfecting 3 things and sticking to that.

Matcha or Chai or Iced Coffee? it all feels like it was watered down and stored in the fridge to pour out. The baked goods are SO dry.

The space and ambiance is amazing. so quiet and calm. I really, really want to have an awesome coffee shop to support 5 mins from home but I rather walk 10 mins than spend 15 dollars on a matcha and croissant that...
