Crown Chicken & Grill — Restaurant in New York

They are very nice people who run the store so I kind of feel bad even leaving a negative review . but every time I get food from there the quality of the food especially the chicken seems to get worse and worse. . This last time it was kind of late I was exhausted I needed to get food for quickly I had ordered a 2 piece chicken box and it was just that gross I couldn't even eat it. It doesn't taste rotten, it just doesn't taste good like they're getting the cheapest quality meat they could possibly find. Some things are good things that they prepare fresh like burgers, but other things.... Like mashed potatoes or they also very often run out of the things that are good like the jalapeno bites. There are other chicken spots in the neighborhood that the quality of their food is much better. It was just too far for me to walk there that evening. Lately it smells like they're based in a New York City subway during the height of the pandemic in there a lot... To the point where they have one of those automatic air fresheners sitting on the counter. I'm not really sure how I feel about air freshener spraying near where food is being prepared but clearly the store needs it to help tackle the lesson pleasant.... Pungent smell of those who clearly don't have access to showering regularly or laundry. If you're really really hungry and you need cheap food order a hamburger and fries, stay clear of the chicken especially if it's later in the day when it's been sitting there for some time. Expect the mashed potatoes to taste like the cardboard box that they clearly...

I was drunk as hell 🤣 got some chicken over rice with white sauce mozzarella sticks and a sprite. If your drinking don't get the white sauce it is a trigger for vomit as soon as I smelt it I kinda knew but obviously my judgement was empared. I fell asleep for a bit but they didn't bother me. I hopped up just in time not to mess up their lovely establishment but I lit the street and side walk up. ketel-one me-zero my g 🤣. The staff was friendly and open to Convo. The meal was good my stomach just wasn't ready I finished my meal in the morning. Chicken was seasoned well but you know me I put a lil more salt and pepper. The rice and fries were cooked well and the mozzarella sticks where ok. And the sprite was hitting as always. I'll go back if I'm on another liquor store hunt. Ps...

This and ONLY this Crown Fried spot is the #1 store. The workers are respectful, patient, professional, and fast. When I first moved to Brooklyn, these individuals let me ask a million questions. They were never annoyed with me, and my “ let me get a ummmmm “ moments. The area respects them, the food is great. Big shoutouts to Noor, Atiq, Sabi, & Kooday for allowing my family and I, a chance to spend our money on AMAZING quality food.
