Crumbl — Restaurant in New York

Had only seen the viral videos of Crumbl cookies on social media before coming and I was very doubtful that they were really as good as people said on the videos I watched.

Let me tell you, they are way better than I imagined!! First of all, their store was sooo cool, they have like the cookie factory right there and while you make your order, you can also see the team making the cookie dough, mixing it, etc.

The ambiance was light, fresh and cool, and all the employees seemed like they were having such a great time!!! Loved it.

Their cookies were some of my favorite, we ordered a box of 4: sugar ft mother’s circus animal, chocolate cake, kentucky butter cake and milk chocolate chip. They were all AMAZING. Perfectly made and all the right amounts of everything, they were not too sweet, not hard, not overly baked, it was just perfection!!! The ultimate favorite was Kentucky butter cake, then followed the sugar ft mother’s circus animal. I have discovered that I’m not a huge fan of chocolate cookies, so barely tried the chocolate ones, they were very good and my bf loved them, but can’t really offer my unbiased opinion. Try them and decide for yourself!!

This was my first time at Crumbl. I thought the cookies would be nice and warm, straight off the press- that would add to the nostalgia of having home baked cookies- instead the cookies were hard. The waffle one tastes nothing like waffle- it did not even look like the pic. Instead it tastes more like sugar cookies from BJs but firmer. The lemon cookie again, had no lemon slice on it, nothing like the pic. I have other cookies but I just left the store so I can’t comment just yet. I also do not like that there is no human interaction. You go in and order from the kiosk- where is the warmth to that? Overall this experience, was like walking into a cookie factory not bakery. On the positive side our cookie order arrived and a staffer saw us waiting and asked if we needed anything and we did… our milk. We needed the milk to soften these bad boys up. I stopped by Crumbl last month on their official opening day. I had anticipated a long line, but possibly because it was at night (8:30pm), there was hardly a wait so I decided to go in.

The staff behind the counter was friendly, welcoming each customer entering the store. There are 2 kiosks for ordering and you can also order at the counter. The line was short so I ordered a Milk Chocolate Chip Cookie ($5) at the counter.

There is a separate pick-up counter, and they brought my cookie out, placed in their pretty pink box. It is a pretty box, but I would love for them to make the cookies cheaper without the box.

I prefer soft cookies (vs hard), so I liked that it was soft. But it was too sweet for my taste--I didn't love the dough and the milk chocolate made it even sweeter. They have different flavors each week, so I'll have to try another...
