Love this place. Jose the bartender is an absolute gem. Super polite, fun and professional. He went above an beyond by lending my son his personal cell charger. I am in my 50's and my son is half of that and we both love this place. Eclectic crowd of super friendly people. Great selection of booze and the toilets are spotless. A big tell of how well the beer tapa etc are looked after, in my opinion. I believe this is a sister bar to 'Dive Bar', ( lots of tv screens for sports, if that is your want, but the crowd is far more eclectic and friendlier than the average sports bar) on the Upper Westside on Amsterdam, which my son and I also love. Dive 75 is fantastic for drinkies after trolling through Central Park....
Read moreMy husband and I visited Dive 75 on the last night of our week-long holiday in NYC from Scotland, UK. We were shattered and just looking for somewhere comfy to chill out, and Dive 75 proved to be perfect! We got great seats at the bar (I even got a swirly bar stool), loved seeing the bright fish swimming around the tank, watched some sport on the big screens, had some very reasonably priced drinks and crisps/chips (great cider), borrowed one of their board games for a few rounds and LOVED the free chocolates/candies. It was a Tuesday night, not too busy or too quiet, and we felt totally at home throughout. Would recommend and go back there next time...
Read moreWas walking through that part of the city leaving the lincoln square movie complex on 68th St. looking for some cold suds to celebrate "Wonder Woman" kicking ass. Found this pub out of nowhere...googled "Bars" found this on the map..i only saw three bars near by on maps. this one came up "Not-so-divey bar where board games, free candy & a fish tank come with the beer." SOLD!!!!!! 5 Stars alone for having perfectly cold Stella draft on tap alone. Huge fish tank as soon as you come in. Pretty cool...kind of relaxes you instantly..you can also order food and eat in. that's an AAA++++++.
