Deploy Coffee — Restaurant in New York

The GEM of LIC! In the past couple years, Jimmy and Danny have tied the LIC community together through Deploy - their stories are inspiring, and their coffee (Onyx) is the best you can get in the area. As specialty coffee nerds, my husband and I love having Deploy in the area, a breath of fresh air compared to other cafes in LIC where the coffee sometimes feels like an afterthought. It's a two man show and they work hard, so sometimes they're not around due to other events they're working and/or weather, but their availability + reasons for any schedule changes are always posted through their social media so it's easy to know when they're on site, typical as any other food truck.

I saw a previous review gripe about how they sometimes close early, and even used the term "laziness" which is so laughable. Like, it's a mobile shop, with limited capacity and functionality vs. a brick and mortar? I've stopped by when they've either run out for the day, or needed to start prepping for an event they had later, and they've always been apologetic but clear about why they're closing up. When that happens I just say my hello's, see you next time's, and walk across the street for (not as good, but sufficient) coffee. My world doesn't end. This is LIC, lol. No need to ding a veteran-owned small business and try to character shame just because you don't know how food...

I recently had the pleasure of trying both the lavender latte and iced matcha latte. They use ceremonial grade matcha , which elevates the entire matcha experience . The lavender latte was velvety and creamy, and the sweetness is not overpowering at all compared to others. Soooo soooo good!!!

Deploy Coffee is a solid choice. The setup is clean and well-organized, and the barista is friendly and welcoming.

I ordered an oat milk cappuccino, which was made to perfection - great balance of flavors and a smooth texture. The coffee is clearly brewed with care.

Considering the quality, the price is very reasonable, especially for a cart setup.

Overall, I'm impressed with Deploy Coffee and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a well-made cup of coffee on-the-go. It’s located right outside the hunters point queens public library...
