From the moment I arrived, I was disgusted with the service. I arrived with a reservation and after my ID was checked, a couple was ahead of me and after they were escorted I waited to enter. A gentleman arrived after me and we were asked if we had reservations. We both answered yes. The white woman dressed like a thrift store blade, in full black pleather and pale skin then escorted the gentleman that arrived inside ahead of me. Cool.
I get to the reserved section where my girlfriend was celebrating her birthday with friends. I was informed that the burger sliders and calamari were not on the menu. The menu that was provided to us 2 weeks prior showed burger sliders and calamari. The items that replaced them were hush puppies and fried pickles. Child options in my mind. I pushed on and looked to order the drinks that were present on the menu. It was explained to me that some of those items were not available to be made and some of the options that were NOT present on the menu could be ordered. Overall, the drinks were good, minus the 30 minute wait for the âPaper Planesâ drink that arrived after the food, yet I was reassured 4 times that the drinks was on itâs way, but then another waitress said that the order was never put in. The food though⊠super trash. The menu stated that they had âfriesâ, but to our surprise, it was a mix of sweet potato fries and regular fries, topped with garlic parm. Blasphemous.
After we ate and drank our drinks, we moved closer to the âdance floorâ bar area where one of the bouncers introduced me to his elbow in my back. After I turned around to find out if he was okay, he said that I had to move, which I did, but I explained that the elbow was a bit much. He apologized (The only person who did all night) and explained that he was from Senegal Africa, was only in the US for 4 years. He said if I wanted to speak to the manager. I explained that I usually donât but sureâŠ.
The manager, was a real peach. I explained everything that happened and he was nonchalant about it. All he did was listen and give head nods. No apologies. He left and I was ready to go, and the manager returned to say âI hope you enjoyed your night and you change your mind and come backâ. I literally smiled and said âI am sorry, but I will not.
The cherry on top was when I was asked by the coat check girl that ignored me for the gentleman behind me, inquired and said, âDid you have a good nightâ. I told her about what happened when I arrived and instead of apologizing, Big Back Bertha dressed in her finest diarrhea brown TillyTubby jacket, said that we arrived together⊠Mind you I was in a suit, tie, slacks and my finest Bruno Magliâs while Tim the tool man escorted inside before me, was wearing a white tee shirt, a trucker jacket, dirty white sneakers that have lived past itâs life 3 times⊠Overall, the staff needs training in customer service, the chef needs help and the manager needs to maybe take some business classes to understand...
Read moreUpdated review based on the Owner's response: First of all thank you for taking the time to write a review to make excuses for what happened instead of apologizing for the way your establishment could've handled this situation. I see you mentioned my Fiancé was inebriated and further escalated a situation that was being resolved by the owner. The statement you provided seems to be inaccurate and it seems to put the blame on a victim. If your statement does have any truth then as you mentioned below your establishment would have never provided free shots to someone who is inebriated. Another inaccurate statement is the one where you mentioned that my Fiancé escalated this based on your presumptions of him being inebriated. According to you, you mentioned that you were there and your team was there handling the situation. I don't recall you or your security team taking the aggressor out after he came twice, just sat at our table and started cursing at us because he was in fact drunk. Like you said, your team and you were there but I didn't see either of you come to take the guy out after he put his hands on my Fiancé for no apparent reason just because we let him know he was sitting in our space. If you want to say someone was inebriated and escalated the situation then that would be the aggressor that your establishment failed to take out in the first place.
We decided to come here to continue to celebrate my Fiancé's birthday after a nice dinner at MAIELLA. The worst mistake I ever made. DON'T EVER GO TO THIS PLACE IF YOU ARE DRESSED IN SUITS BECAUSE YOU WILL BE ATTACKED BASED ON WHAT YOU ARE WEARING. Yes I said it, stupid but that is exactly what happened and we didn't think that we would run into this type of situation but if this establishment wants to be in business they need to know what type of people they let in before compromising people's safety. We paid for a private table as we were a group of 10. Some of my friends went to the restroom and then some random guys came and sat at our table. We asked them if our group told them to sit there as my friends came back and they wanted to sit. The guy began to get hostile, put his hands on my Fiancé grabbed him by the shirt, and started cursing at my Fiancé, telling him he thinks he is better than him based on what he was wearing. The guy continued making stupid remarks and threatening that he would fight my man outside. The DJ sees this and waitresses and no one calls security. This is when we decided to pull my Fiancé away and our friends before things escalated as we had more to lose than this guy. If you are not going to provide a safe space for people then you should not be in...
Read moreOur first visit was Thursday Feb 6th. Service at the door wasnt overly welcoming. However the server although busy was very kind. Jeff the manager was a pleasure to meet. And seemed to work the floor in a way that itmatter to him. We ordered 1 of each food menu item and were pleased. Drinks were enjoyable. Sunday Feb 16th our girlfriend had wanted to check this venue out. We were excited to show her to a place we had enjoyed prior to that night. The service was a complete disappointment. As restaurant owners and managers ourselves we were appalled by how we were treated. The hostess (tall very short buzzed hair) was extremely unpleasant and rude. The server took over 20mins to even notice us. Our drinks took another 30mins on top of that. When nicely asking to check on them âtheyll come out when theyll come outâ that was followed by spilling water all over our bags, no apology, no napkins. The host again comes over to âyou have to check thatâ my coat that was in no oneâs way while every other table had a coat and the people standing also had coats on. One thing we dont stand for is supporting places where the service is at such low standard. We did not finish our drinks and left. To the owner, your concept is great, a place like this has SO MUCH potential to be extremely successful with many add on concepts to it. The space gives for so much more. And both nights the music was a 10/10. Do not let careless/rude/ pompous staff ruin it for you. You need more jeffs, that feb 6th server and the latin looking busser/runner who was getting it done for every table. Whoever your Sunday 16th staff was - I would...
