I was frequenting the shop often when I was working in the area, everyone was nice until one day, the register guy tried to humiliate me in front of everyone. I parked out front and was parked legally after reading the signs. I waited on line and place my order, I gave the gentleman my credit card to swipe. As I turned the sanitation man was standing by my truck, in a panic I turned and said one second, I though the card was ran and transaction finalized so I went to the door which is 10 ft away and he starts yelling at me that I am holding things up. I said I apologize and thought the transaction was finished and came right back. He then alienated me in front of everyone telling me that I was lucky everyone was so gratuitous to me after my apologies for the confusion. I felt mistreated and told him I thought the transaction was complete and, that’s why I went to see what was going on. He then started to talk to me like I was a fool, at that point cause of his poor treatment I stayed I would like to cancel the order...the whole thing was unnecessary drama...the guy gave me back my card and said by Love...I told him I am not your love but a customer...Management definitely needs to address this guy, his attitude is very rude, and I will not be going back, and I truly liked the place. I also checked my account and saw the money was charged and then credited back...so what was all...

This was my 5th time coming to this coffee shop. This time around I ordered something new the Matcha Latte and it was not so good, very watered down and you could not taste the matcha. I tried to drink it because I did not want to be “that” customer but I just couldn’t drink it wasn’t up for my liking. So I went to the women who was making the drinks ( short black hair) and I quietly expressed my drink was not so good and I would like to order something else. Clearly I hadn’t drunk it because it was still full to the top. Her reply was well that’s wrong with it and I said it watered down and I can’t really taste the matcha . She then said very condescending way well I can clearly see the matcha is at the bottom of the cup so maybe you can stir it. I said I did that and it’s still not up to my liking. She said, well I can’t just give you another drink , that I would have to pay for another drink, very unprofessional and unpleasant. As a paying customer I was stuck with something I was not pleased with. I was not happy with the customer service at all.

However the cashier was...

I went there on a Sunday morning, place was busy with a nice vibe. Not too crowded. I ordered coffee + avocado toast + açaí bowl = $26 Coffee was on the sour side, of that’s what you like, but got it room temperature and the rather was freezing outside. I can’t think of a reason for that. Avocado toast has a potential, but it’s more of an avocado spread and didn’t come with the arugula/green garnish on top. I don’t think a whole avocado was used for the order. The açaí was not icy and was warmer than it should be with not as much granola included. Paid extra $2 for a a peanut butter scope on top. In general, it was overpriced and worth total reconsideration. Temperature was 33 outside, but the AC inside was still cooling for some reason. Generally I think the place has a potential with more attention to small details like the coffee temperature, room temperature, acai preparation, and a whole avocado on their avocado toast and that’s what the second star is for. Otherwise, I left...

Saturday mornings are made for donuts, coffee, and walks along the beach. This is your itinerary for the morning. 1. Drive to Dutch Door Donuts 2. Order Donuts (don’t forget to get extra to share) 3. Grab a warm drink - we suggest a latte this morning 4. Walk west till you hit the sand 5. Enjoy the donuts, and coffee plus make new friends by sharing the freshest donuts ever. 6. Repeat as much as you want today or anytime.

I'm so glad I found this while looking for a local place to get coffee. We had an Airbnb in Harlem and wanted something original and we found Double Dutch! It was so good we came here the next morning. The drinks tasted so good! And get the pastries!!! The staff was beyond awesome. They were helpful and friendly and I just loved the vibe from that shop. The aesthetics were so cool and everything about it seemed so comfortable. Definitely making this a regular stop when I'm back in town, seriously worth a stop.
