Hands down the best chicken in Canarsie! #fyp #fouryoupage #foodie #ilovefood #jamaicanfood #friedchicken #riceandpeas #popsmoke #canarsiebrooklyn #flossy #brooklynfoodspots

I've tried and tried with Dougie's but the inconsistencies have gotten so out of hand, it should be illegal. I don't know if the cooks are being switched out too often, if the business is overwhelmed with orders and is cutting corners out of laziness or what, but patrons beware. It's now to the point where I'm not even sure what they're giving us to eat. No matter how mi BEG them to make the chicken well done with no raw pieces they ALWAYS find a way to ruin the order. The fact that a customer even has to request COOKED well done chicken is insane. It's like playing Russian roulette with this business. You NEVER KNOW what you're gonna get. When it's cooked well it's great and flavorful but that is a RARE occurrence. The orders almost always include raw chicken. I don't know what they're doing in their kitchen but it's clear them nuh give a DAMN.

So, I typically don’t complain or leave reviews anywhere but I had to so do that other don’t waste their time and/or money. $28 for a “large” oxtail and bottle of coconut water. I inspected the food as I received it and it definitely looked like they skimped on the meat but I didn’t wanna be that guy so I was like whatever, maybe they’ll make up for it on the taste (they did not). Just ate half my meal and I just had to express my displeasure. I received a bunch of bone. Barely any rice. Other than that, it was nothing special. I don’t know how they get away with calling this a large. I’d be better off at a Golden Crust. Too bad I didn’t feel like cooking tonight. This was a waste. 1/10. Oh, and as typical with most of these Jamaican restaurants, the lady seemed to hate her job. Update: Could not finish this. Just unappetizing.

I cannot comment on the food as I haven't eaten there and will never.Im commenting as a delivery driver.Twice I was assigned to pick up food at this restaurant and customer service is terrible.First of all I introduced myself as the delivery driver to the two young ladies behind the counter they barely glanced up at me from their phones and just grunted and pointed at the bag .When i got the bag they stared at me in a nasty manner and said nothing. You never treat anyone like that customer, driver whoever...its extremely unprofessional.I would never spend my dollars in this place and i love jamaican food.Richards diner on seaview ave had similar awful customer service idk what it is with jamaican restaurants and their nasty attitudes but I don't get ghetto and loud i speak with my wallet.I live right around the corner from Richard's diner I went from a 3 times a week customer to ZERO .They lost major money from me.I get my jamaican fix from fisherman's cove on rockaway parkway. The cashier greets you and is run very professionally. The jerk chicken cooks are always smiling and make conversation with me and all the customers.I feel very welcomed there as opposed to small establishments like dougie's and Richard's.Keep your nasty attitude on your island and train your employees to act...

I used to love dougie's But they fell of drastically since 2009. I used to eat from here daily. The jerk chicken was my go to. I even supported their other restaurant that they used to have on Parkside.

Now the food is really a hit or miss. The jerk chicken is soggy and taste like brown stew chicken and the sauce is not the same. REHIRE THE COOK FROM 2007. Whoever was the chef from 2006/2007 please respond if you have a restaurant.

I started ordering doguies over the phone in 2006 and never went to the restaurant. So I went to get food that I told my entire family was the best of the best once. There was a trini or gt restaurant nearby. I went there thinking it was Dougie's and ordered $40 worth of food. I ended up throwing that food in the garbage (I should have kept it, but I was impulsive) and going into Dougies to repurchase everything. That's how good they were.

NOW I'd rather go to Richards now , which is three...
