Dream Cafe hookah lounge — Restaurant in New York

This place has terrible service. We walked in and this rude host told us to go to the back. When there was clearly space in the front. Okay no problem. So as we walk to the back we didn’t really see any proper seats. We still picked a spot and sat to order. The rude manager was very mean and had a mug face. Like he was not concerned and made us feel unwelcomed. We ordered one hookah and the guy was trying to force all of us to get a drink. I never had that experience before in this lounge. They are usually chill about that. Then the rude manager just left the hookah without checking if it worked or not. So we all tried to take a pull but it wasn’t set up poroperly. We waited 15 minutes for our coal to be changed when we asked once. Bad customer experience. We got upset with the service. So when the bill came up to 27 dollars we asked him what the charges were for. The guy couldn’t even explain to us what each charges were for. We did not even drink from the water bottles and he tries to rip us off. When the hookah was priced 14 dollars he tried to scam us with a bill of 27 dollars. How does that make any sense? The man got defensive and was very rude. I told him that he should not speak to a customer so rudely and arrogantly. He the most nastiest customer service. Would not recommend this place. Me and my friends wanted to enter and the owner or whom ever simply denied us and told us they were closed. All black crew and one Hispanic girl . We let our Hispanic friend go in and he asked her where she was from etc and she said queens. He then told her they were open. As soon as she walked out the cafe and he seen her walk towards her black boyfriend he walked out and said they were closed. BAD BUSINESS , discriminating against a group of people for absolutely no reason. We were not rude or loud so we just don’t understand what the issue could be other than we were BLACK ! Went there and the hookah was ok. But that one Egyptian worker was outright unprofessional rude and aggressive. Was acting like we came in the store and ordered for free and were not paying customers. Atmosphere is ok but the one guy made it bad and unwelcoming.
