With a desperate need for caffeine to stave off the impending doom of a long-haul flight, I found myself at Dunkin’ Donuts, Terminal 4, Gate 30—JFK's very own purgatory. The smell of fried dough and slightly burnt coffee beans hit me like a wave, and for a fleeting moment, I believed that salvation was near. The plan was simple: an iced coffee and a sausage-egg-and-cheese sandwich. A no-fuss classic. But as I stood there waiting, something felt off, like the eerie calm before a storm. Then, the glistening allure of a donut caught my eye. Naturally, I approached the counter, eager to make this detour into sugar-laden indulgence. But, oh no, fate had other plans. Enter: Bowser, or at least her real-world doppelgĂ€nger. Broad shoulders and hips that surely need two seats on an airplane, an aura of indifference, and the facial expression of someone who’s seen one too many customer requests and the eagerness to crush someone’s good day. Without even an ounce of politeness, she barked, "Order from the machine." Funny, because right there in front of me was a sign—clear as day—saying, “Order Here.” Apparently, irony was on the menu as well. So, I shuffled over to the kiosk like a modern serf in a digital age, only to discover that the donut in question wasn’t even an option: The French crueller. Frustration building, I went back to the counter and—surprise—someone else was ordering from the very spot I had been shooed away from just minutes earlier. When my turn finally came, I couldn’t help but call out the absurdity of the situation: "Oh, so you can order from the counter?" Her reaction was priceless. The look on her face was one of pure disdain, as though I’d just insulted the very foundation of her 10$ an hour job. Her name badge? Upside down. Most likely on purpose, because let’s be real, nothing says “I don’t care” like deliberately sabotaging your own identity to avoid complaints. If I remember correctly it was along the lines of CHIANTI In the end, I got my iced coffee, but the experience left a bad taste in my mouth. Thank god for Delta and their in-flight service, because this is one airport memory I’ll be glad to forget.

Terrible nasty customer service and manager should All be fired!! We had bought a coffee , we asked them them for an extra empty cup and they refused to give unless we pay $1.09 for the empty cup!! and then our 6 month old baby was screaming needed a bottle desprately, we asked them for a little bit of hot water for the baby bottle! They wanted $1.09 for a bit of water!! Unbelievable! We went straight to the diner further down gave us water without a problem! NEVER EVER BUY ANYTHING AT THAT PLACE!! UNLESS THEY CHANGE MANAGEMENT AND LEARN HOW TO TREAT CUSTOMERS COMING OFF A PLANE AFTER A TIRING LONG TRIP!!

Not just this location in general. Dunkin in New York has got to do better. I had the most simple request of extra crispy snack bacon. I didn’t even order anything else and they gave me sad flimsy bacon!😭 I’ve gotten snack bacon and order extra crispy 3 times at 3 different locations in New York and only 1 listened! Do better Dunkin’

I had a terrible experience this morning due to poor management and unprofessional behavior. Three employees were working: two Black women and one possibly Middle Eastern woman. One of the first two women was working, while the other drank coffee and shouted at customers to use the kiosk, saying the register was “off limits.”

Both of my sandwich orders were incorrect, and when I politely asked for them to be fixed, the shouting employee told me to “take it up with her,” referring to the Middle Eastern woman making the sandwiches. The sandwich cook was clearly doing her best despite being mismanaged and harassed by her coworkers/supervisors.

As someone with restaurant management experience, I expressed that their treatment of their teammate was a missed opportunity to teach and support. They became defensive and denied their actions. It’s disappointing that such unprofessional individuals are placed in leadership roles and allowed to interact with customers. Dunkin’ should address these issues with proper training...

Like many other yelpers have previously stated, this is probably one of the worst Dunkin Donuts there is out there, especially in an airport. They are one of the smaller dunkin donuts popup for a terminal in comparison to other stores, but that shouldn't matter to the menu selection for drinks and basic food.

Not only is their food and drink selection limited, but their customer service staff are also extremely rude. If it wasn't for the fact that I just wanted a little pick me up and it's right by the gate my flight is located, I wouldn't even go in the first place. I ordered a Matcha blended, and unsure whether that meant actual blend with ice to make a icee consistent or not, I tried to get clarification, not only was I met with rudeness, I also felt like they didn't want to be met with a question. Well sorry, you are in the wrong department.

When the drink came out, it was extremely sweet and watery, no icee consistency at all. It was pretty...
