I went to this donut shop at 2am to buy a coffee and a couple donuts, to help me stay awake for the one hour drive home (without dozing off)! I was eager to munch on these donuts and Sip the hot coffee on my commute home. The clerk brings the donuts, makes the coffee and proceeds to ring it up. The total? $7.00 (and some change). I hand the clerk a $10.00 bill, at which time he informs me "We do not accept cash". Excuse me?????!!! I've NEVER in my 60 years, heard of a local store/bodega/deli (and, certainly NOT a donuts shop), that DIDNT ACCEPT CASH!!!! I explained to the clerk that I did not have any cash. I asked him "Can I at least have the coffee since it's already made???" Him: "No." Well......Geez! That's so sad! And, to think..... it's not like he can pour the coffee (with cream), back into the POT! SMH. Given such an unheard of rule (or policy), one would think a clerk would forewarn a customer PRIOR to attempting to SERVE him/her.... For Christ's sake! Post a sign!!!! What is this world coming to! Won't be patronizing THIS business again. ... not even with CASH!!!! *I also noticed two or three people SLEEPING (heads down), at different tables. Looked more like a HANGOUT! Possibly due to having a omeless shelter right next door. (Not judging anyone who is homeless). However, it would appear more appropriate for this business to focus more on ways to reduce. loitering & Lounging, over NOT...
Read moreWow… this is NOT my first time dealing with the guy in the picture, and every time it’s the same story: wrong order + bad attitude. If you can’t treat customers with basic respect, maybe customer service isn’t the right job. I ordered a decaf caramel latte with less ice and another decaf caramel latte with oatmilk (no ice). What did I get? One with no ice, and another with half a cup of ice and no caramel. When I pointed it out, he argued with me and said I “never said it.” Please — check the cameras and see for yourself. And to top it off, he threw food at me like a dog. When I asked for the manager’s name, he suddenly claimed he was “new.” I’m a regular — I’ve seen him working here for over a year. Then he backtracked and said, “oh, the manager changes every month.” Really? This place runs like a reality show now? And it’s not just this order. Every time I ask for oat milk, the drink comes watered down. If I’m paying extra for oat milk, I should actually get oat milk — not watered drinks. The whole experience feels careless, disrespectful, and unprofessional. And sadly, management doesn’t seem to care either. 0/10000000000 This...
Read moreWhile visiting Queens, I wanted a coffee shop to work within during the day. My friend recommended this spot and I was really impressed by its size, but not so much by its limited seating. I ordered an iced pumpkin spice latte and set to work. Five minutes after settling in, I realized that the coffee barrister knew the couple on the other side of me, so they started shouting over me in conversation. I moved to the back of the store.
This place is busier than I expected. There would be throngs of people and then no one in waves throughout the day giving me the opportunity to people watch while I work.
Five hours and two large iced coffees later, I asked for the key to the restroom, because I saw they let someone use it earlier, and was told that it was out of order. I wasn't sure if this was true or not, but I really didn't care to fight with them. Also, while working, I was visited by a centipede which left me on edge for the rest of my time there.
All in all, the coffee was good, the environment for work wasn't, the customer service was great from the morning shift and just okay for the...
