El Patron Restaurant & Lounge 2 — Restaurant in New York

Came to their grand opening with my family if 7 people to celebrate my mothers birthday. Now, I figured it would be as good as the location at bay street but unfortunately, the service wasn’t as good for several reasons. We had to wait an hour and a half to get our food. Now I understand it’s the first day of opening but it was really unprofessional and unorganized when half of us had to be asked to changed out food choice, especially me, more than twice, because they didn’t have certain meat choices. Wouldn’t you be prepared as to what it is you have and don’t have to let us customers know? .. well, aside from that seemed as if the waitress was also new at this because we weren’t given our utensils at the beginning we had to ask for them. And the last straw was that she had forgotten to write down or just forgot in general two plates that we asked for. After waiting an hour and a half, it was pretty annoying to have to hear that after waiting for so long. I wouldn’t have given such a big tip if it was included with the bill to be honest. But, gave benefits of the doubt and hope they can be more organized in the future because it being so close to home, I would not like to bring our business somewhere else and far just because these small issues couldn’t be prevented. The food was just okay. However make sure you compare the price on the menu to whats on the check. I caught them on 2 items overcharging. First they said oops they gave me an old menu. But then they gave me the new paper menu and the price on that menu was still much lower than what was on the check. When I questioned them (20 minutes) they realized they were caught and I wasn’t stupid. They eventually.charged me the original price from the menu that I used to order. Difference of Price was almost 24.00 dollars. I will never go there again. I just read some reviews and noticed what happened to me had happened to many people as well. ( 7 months ago and even 3 years ago). The woman there should get an Oscar for best actress “playing dumb to the price” Now I know this is a deliberate overcharging I will contact whomever to stop other people from being taken...

Do not order from here. Terrible place. The food isnt consistent and the guy on the phone is as nasty as can be. Argueing with customers is not a good look. Luckily there are many more Mexican places nearby that have good food and good customer service. They just lost a customer that use to order all the time from here. Terrible terrible. The food isn’t even that good !

I use to order all the time because I’m close by and was in the mood for Mexican. I use to pick the closest place. But don’t worry , there’s a couple places that are only 5 minutes further with better food ;)
