We had dinner here on a weeknight. First the positives - (1) the food was excellent - we ordered the samosa chat, chicken momo, mixed grill and paneer makhani along with a mixed bread basket (2) everything was good quality, well-prepared and portions were quite generous. (3) Prices are very fair, good value. (4) tables are nicely set with tablecloths and cloth napkins and seats are pretty comfortable. (5) service is friendly and we were not rushed at all. Now the negatives - (1) the lighting is terrible, very bright and harsh like fluorescent lights, not at all conducive to a relaxing dining experience. (2) they play the same monotonous flute music constantly - it's on the loud side and we found it pretty annoying (3) they have a liquor license but don't seem to know what to do with it - they basically sell liquor by the shot, and you can mix it with soda if you want, they didn't even have tonic water and also didn't have the mixers needed for the few cocktails offered on the menu. We saw some bottles of wine and beer in a cooler next to the bar but there is no wine list or even a list of beers available provided. Highly recommend the food but not a great in-house...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am giving five stars but i will be honest. Food was excellent. I had the goat curry with mixed pickle and i tried the butter chicken. Both delicious but butter chicken was outstanding. Garlic naan was great. Samosas great. Chaat was great.
If you eat here: ambiance is weird. Decor is odd. I was sitting directly next to a sink and cleaning supplies. Lighting was warm on one side but cold and too bright on the other. Menus are take out menus. The server tried his best and was friendly. He suggested the goat curry which was his favorite and I enjoyed. But there was only one of him and he was the host, waiter, food runner, and did the take out hand offs. When we walked in it was 3 or 4 minutes before we were greeted. Definitely understaffed in front of house. Also, no music. Just the hum of electricity - very warehousey.
All in all: five stars for excellent food and trying their best but they should:
Fix the lighting Get a host/hostess Put a barrier up so the guests are separated from that sink Play some music
Would make this place much more of a restuarant to sit and eat at as it is currently more of a take out place.
Great...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy bf and I learned about this place from FB Food Group. We originally wanted to check out and choose what to get from the menu until this nice gentleman told us about the buffet 12PM-3PM. Told him we can come back later since we arrived 30 minutes too early lol. When we arrived, we were greeted by him again and led us to the table. Very quiet and felt like I canāt stop smelling the good food. We prepared to get the food from the buffet and holy moly, they were absolutely delicious. The price is super worth it since I am satisfied with what I got. My personal favorite were the samosas, goat curry, tandoori chicken, and (okra with onions). Mango lassi (drink) is delicious!
In short, this is perfect for your first time going there for lunch so you can check out and then order specific ones during non-buffet days! I donāt often go in this area because itās a little far from where I live. Thank you for satisfying my cravings. (Ate there on May 31st)
Photo contains samosas, goat curry, sweet and sour chicken, okra with onions, and tandoori chicken (thereās rice lol,...
