Never doing take out again. I ordered 3 ice cream things a large pizza and salad. It took an hour from when I placed the order to come. Okay I know it takes time they have to cook the pizza and such fine. But when I called to ask how much longer I was told it just stepped out..... the ice cream was melted. Not like it just stepped out the shop type of thing but it was sitting for a while to be delivered type of thing. The pizza wasn't hot or warm. It was like it was sitting for a while so it was luke warm. I'm only 10 minutes away from the shop. I'm sure other orders were delivered before coming to me which is cool be proficient. But there was ice cream in my order. I should have been the 1st to be delivered to. The salad was horrible too. I asked for no olives amd its like they left everything out. The dressing tasted like pure oil no vinegar eww.
On top of that I knew what I wanted to tip. I wanted to give $3 the driver took a $2 tip without me saying to keep it. And was annoyed that I wanted change back. So he left with a bigger tip because I didn't count the change he gave me before actually tipping him. I have never had anyone just take money without being told keep the change.
Never ordering again. Probably won't even go...
Read moreIt saddens me to know that after going to Frank's for seven months regularly with my family tonight I was treated with the worse customer service by the owner himself. This man threw my money in my face after I asked for a refund on a chicken cutlet parmesan hero after waiting almost 20 minutes, and later see that my dinner was given to someone else who came after me. by this time my daughter was already finished with her pizza. what is a REGUALAR customer to do? I guess in Frank's loyalty to the business doesn't mean anything. And just like the owner said, "I WILL NEVER EVER MAKE YOU A CHICKEN PARM MEAL AGAIN CAUSE ALL YOU DO IS COME HERE AND COMPLAIN". Well Mr. owner you don't have to loose sleep over seeing my face or my family EVER AGAIN in your place, because after all the praise I gave you about the food and service I take all back. Thank you. my daughter will miss her favorite pizza spot but I guess your pizza it's just dough, sauce, and cheese. I'm pretty sure it won't be hard to find another pizzeria with a much better customer service than yours in my...
Read moreA lifelong NYer (and a licensed NYC Tour Guide) and someone who loves good pizza, I have some to respect and love Grandma's Pizza at Frank's. It is one of the hardest pizzas to get just right - the crust is so thin it would be easy to burn. And then the tomato sauce, cheese, and basil are minimal, which is also much harder than loading up lots and lots of mozzarella on a thick crust pie - anyplace could do that - it doesn't require great skill, or even great ingredients. In this case, for this pie, "less is more." And that requires great skill. This is a pure, clean, excellent pizza. Not for immature palates - for a pizza purist who is passionate about getting it right. And I don't know how, with such a razor thin margin of error, they manage to get it right every time. I know that pizza-lovers are very subjective and very loyal - I respect that. But having traveled in all 5 boroughs on private pizza tours, Frank's is still my number one destination - Grandma's Pizza. As they would say in the Michelin Guide: It's...
