We have placed a christmas order for a roasted duck and pierogis. Paid $50 deposit plus $1.75 “fee”, assuming for processing a card. Comes time to pick up the order and I’m being told there are pierogies there- despite having an itemized receipt, proving that we did in fact ordered it. Was told by the employee that a person who took the order had no authority to do so, hence no pierogies. She was authorized, however, take my deposit money and fulfill the order partially (as the duck was there). OK. Stuff happens, I understand. Everyone make mistakes- I worked in a customer service and can relate to madness of pre-holiday time. I wold told that if I wait, there’s a fresh batch of pierogies coming in half an hour. Lovely, thank you. Finally, I’ve picked up my full order- the pierogies and the duck. Came home, opened the bag and froze. The “roasted duck” resembled a roadkill more than the festive entree. It was not “cleaned” at all. Everything, literally everything was left inside- including lungs, parts of the liver with reminiscent of blood and more, coming out of the bird’s gut. Not only disgusting and unappetizing presentation, but there was barely any edible parts left. Out of the $60 worth of meat, I was only able to save two tiny drumstick and partial breast. There is absolutely no way I can put that on my Christmas table. I am so upset and disappointed by the whole ordeal. I generally don’t write bad reviews, as I don’t want to affect any businesses negatively, but today’s experience was just too much. Whoever put that order out, has got no shame. I will attach photos for a reference. I had just thrown $60 worth of meat in the trash (see the photo with an aluminum foil). I am now trying to figure out what to serve as a main meal, 3 hours before a scheduled diner.
P.S there are no mushrooms in “sauerkraut and...
Read moreI had this polish deli cater my wife's baby shower in Connecticut at the recommendation of a friend. While there are plenty of polish deli options in CT, we are extremely happy that we choose a location 70 miles away from where we live. The food was fresh, flavorful and really tasty! In fact, the food was so good that a few of our friends asked for their contact info so that the can go shopping there or even cater their events. We ordered stuffed cabbage, a variety of pierogies, kasha bulgur, kielbasa for grilling and a variety of polish meats for a cold cut platter. Dont forget the polish deli pickles, they are amazing! In all honesty, this is probably one of the best Polish Deli's around and take it from me, I've tried food from a...
Read moreMy friend introduced me to this sweet Polish deli off the M train stop. I always get pierogis which are well priced and the people who work there are so sweet and friendly. They have a lot of stuff in there and my favorite pierogis are the potato and cheese and veggie pierogis, they’re good and very full (no skimping with the filling). Will always come back here and eventually try the hot bar which seems to be really popular- and there is seating...
