Goodway Gourmet — Restaurant in New York

I bought a small black rum cake (different than their chocolate rum cake, apparently) from a Goodway tent at the Rock, Ribs, and Ridges country music festival in New Jersey this past weekend for $13. It's delish and I'm enjoying a small slice of it every day, refrigerated, which is how they want you to store this flavor and is also refreshing for the summertime. I bake quite a lot myself and I have high standards, which I'm happy to say were met! There could be more rum in the cake, but I think that's probably true of any cake ever... Bonus points for both the marketing (I get a kick out of the fact that my alcohol-containing cake has a Redemption Church sticker on it) and the guy who totally snagged my business with his sweet talking and delicious sample. If I run into them again somewhere I'll definitely repurchase. My only critique is that I'd like to see them move away from little plastic sample cups to squares of waxed paper or something that is lower impact since I'm sure that most of the time people aren't recycling those cups even if the facilities do exist nearby - which they did not at the...

After sampling different flavors of this delicious rum cake (all were moist and fantastic)at a food festival, I knew I just had to buy a couple of cakes to bring to a friend’s barbecue for the next weekend. Well, everyone enjoyed the cake so much, people were cutting & wrapping slices to hide in their car to eat later at home!😁Everyone was asking, “Who brought/made that cake?” and “Is there any more?” I wrote a reminder on my calendar right then, to make sure I purchase (online) a couple of Rum cakes to have on hand when Holiday time rolls around for friends and family to enjoy. The cakes I ordered were reasonably priced, free of chemical preservatives, moist, full of natural ingredients and well packaged when delivered. The aroma when I opened the box was so wonderful! I will definitely order from Goodway again and try...

I found this wonderful company and crew the county fair and my god are these cakes delicious. They are beyond kind and let you try the cakes before buying them. I bought the Black Cherry Rum Cake and the Chocolate Rum Cake. Do not make the mistake I did and only buy two. These cakes are so good I cannot stop going to my fridge a stealing bites. Moist, fluffy, perfect texture, and extremely flavorful. Genuinely the best cake I’ve ever had. The next time I find you guys I will not make the same mistake and I am buying more than two and hopefully more than one makes it into the freezer so I don’t run out.
