Honest Review Rating 2/5
Food Rating 3/5 Service -2/5 Atmosphere of the Restaurant 2/5
I like to review restaurants based on the treatment from the beginning of me entering, quality of food, and how experience made me feel.
Service: As soon as I came yesterday I was greeted by the only nice server from my time there. She sat me down, I waited for 10 minutes before a waiter came to my table. As I was ordering my food I noticed the lack of consideration for what I would like and more so reviving what I should be ordering from the waiter and received fat shaming on my order choices. Which was a Cesar salad with potato skins. I had to repeat to the waiter twice this was what I wanted and yet he still gave me a small salad and for the smoothie I didn’t want bananas but he suggested I leave it alone based on the interaction already and how overstimulated this restaurant made me I just decided to go with it because I was starting to get upset. A different waiter came with my food and slam it with such a nasty attitude and was so rude and gave me such nasty looks throughout my time in the restaurant. As I waited for the check the waiter who serve me my food walk passed me 5 different times as I was waiting for the check each time she didn’t have no customers to attend to and was just checking on her customers and would skip me. It got so bad that I just went to the front and ask to pay there. I wouldn’t recommend coming to this restaurant if you are 🙋🏾♀️
Food 3/5 Potato Skins 3/5 It was overcooked and usually when the potatoes it self is overcooked. The cheese be put over it will just Harden up and won’t really saturate the potato so it won’t be flavorful, which was the case with this.
Cesar Salad 4/5 The salad was good who can mess up a salad but I felt like there was an excessive amount of grilled chicken which covered for the lack of sauce on the salad. I wish it was more sauce and a little bit more flavorful but overall I enjoyed it
The Atmosphere: I noticed a lot of the stuff didn’t even look happy to be working there. That was more so the staff inside of the house and not outside. I noticed the staff that was servicing inside lack customer engagement, with black customers and more willing to interact with white customers. The space is spacious and roomy but in conclusion that would be my first and last time in that restaurant which is a shame because I wanted to try there breakfast but I can’t be in place where I’m...
Read moreI was a customer of the green kitchen in the late 90s early 2000s maybe all the way down to 2005 we used to go there after spending the afternoon at John Jay Park after school with our kids and it was a great place to go there was a waiter named Nico's or Mikos maybe you have the wrong name but this is the thing I live overseas and when I came back and I saw the green kitchen on 70th and 2nd Avenue I got really excited and I went inside and I told a short story to the staff and they set me down and I order the same thing I ordered bacon cheeseburger with Swiss cheese and red onions I mean the presentation was 20 times better than the old green kitchen and then someone came to sit down with me from the waiting staff and started asking me questions about the person I supposedly knew they said that they didn't know who he was and all that but then the harassment started this started looking at me like I was going to run out without pain because I had a backpack with my suit from the night before did I went out partying with my friends unfortunately that kept going on and I see you know what give me my check here's $50 keep the change and I took my food and I gave it to my dog and my dog actually refused to eat that garbage but the thing is things have changed New York is a liberal State and everyone that was standing there and sitting in that restaurant I have unlimited resources I'm going to use them to destroy this place and I don't give a fuck you have no idea who you fed with. I used to love the green kitchen I don't know what happened who the new owner is and why the hiring staff of Latinos that are discriminating against people that are Latinos I'm a latino man because I had a backpack a small backpack with me didn't mean that I was going to steal service and not pay but they got paid and I gave my food to my dog and my dog hated it and that's the story that I have to tell you and if New Yorkers think that this is the end of it well get ready because what's coming is a f* nightmare for the owners of...
Read moreEDIT: wanted to give this place a second chance but after the petty reply I obviously will pass on that. Yes, the server did hurry us up, and yes, we were charged $7 (if I remember correctly) for coleslaw that IS on the menu. Rather than denying my honest review, try improving your service…
The food is decent but service is horrible. I came in for the birthday brunch here and got treated like trash.
Everything started off with me asking our waitress whether they are able to make ricotta raspberry pancakes for me at 9:30am, (it’s usually available starting 11am). I had no problem being rejected as they had a plenty of other options on the menu. Instead of politely saying that they couldn’t, waitress said “no, we can’t, and it’s okay if you leave.” Whatever that meant… We decided to stay after all though. A few minutes later, the same waitress almost took off without letting me finish ordering and a then brought me a coffee with a disgustingly dirty spoon in it. There was literally a massive piece of chocolate cake on it -_-
We were also taking our time enjoying our meal and got asked by the same waitress to wrap things up, even though we haven’t finished eating and haven’t even got a receipt yet…
Oh. And when we got home we realized that we got charged for a cole slaw we never got. We paid for it as we were rushed to leave and didn’t notice it.
Overall, food is ok (chunky monkey pancakes and Irish breakfast) but I’m afraid service really...
