Best Chinese Bodywork — Local services in New York

I was expecting a relaxing massage. But this was a painful and bizarre experience. The guy who did the massage was wearing jeans and a tanktop (I just thought it wasn't the most inviting outfit to touch someone's body), breathing hard, making weird noises, pressing so hard that today I'm full of bruises, and when I complained, he told me I was tight and that we were almost done...He kept bumping into everything and moving the massage table brusquely...It was a very confusing situation. I just assumed it was a Chinese technique to release stress. However, one day after it, I couldn't move! Also, at the end of the massage, I asked the receptionist how much the massage was (because I paid with class pass) to tip 20%, and she told me the massage was 100 USD, so I gave 20. I went into their website and saw it was 55. It is very disrespectful to lie about this. I will definitely never...

I’m not one to bring down a local spot. But this place is the worst spot I’ve been to. The massage itself was sub-par. On several instances it felt like friction burn. In addition to that when I went to pay, the receptionist said its 4 additional dollars for card (which I understand. Many places charge that). And then she said that oh no actually all the cards you’re trying to pay with charge $5. She then also proceeded to bully me into tipping 20% by saying it’s what the state of NY mandates. I had too severe of a migraine to argue. I think I would know what I can afford to tip based on my finances and the service I received. If I could give negative...

This is a great spot, i don’t know what the negative reviewers are talking about. The place is small and not fancy but is clean and quiet. I had 60 minutes of bodywork and cupping done today and my back feels MUCH better. My therapist was very thorough but made sure he wasn’t hurting me too badly. I already have better range of motion in my neck which is pretty exciting! Definitely the best bodywork massage I’ve ever had, I’ll be back! … Updated a month or so later, my review still stands after being here around 5 times.
