The 5 stars are for the smoothies and juices. They are genuinely great and I highly recommend them!

However, despite living in the area, it’s hard for me to go here for a drink regularly even though I want to. The main reason is the amount of plastic. Maybe I’m an outlier here but I just can’t get comfortable with the amount of plastic that gets used with every single drink.

All I want is a drink in a glass. Instead, it’s in a plastic cup, with a plastic straw that is individually wrapped in plastic. I’ve tried asking for drinks “for here” but they don’t really have that as far as I can tell. Instead, I get a drink in a plastic cup, sealed with plastic, in a plastic bag.

It’s very hard because I love getting a drink here but always come away feeling bad about the amount of plastic waste I’ve just caused to go out into the environment for a single smoothie. I’ll be their biggest champion if they just introduce a “for here” option that is a simple glass. Or, let me bring my own glass if...

I love Hawa and been a supporter or a long time and always tell people to go but today an aggressive homeless man came in a wrestled the young girl for the tip jar, and ran off, it was horrifying. It’s not enough that a tip jar is hidden something else has to happen. The owner of this business knowing this happens needs to put a buzzer on door or something. Absolutely Terrible. For the girls and also for customers to witness it happen to them. I can’t believe they need to deal with this. 3 young females against a man 6.3 in height and insanely aggressive. Put a buzzer on the door. So they can buzz people in. Or get a young security guard. If something happened to one of these young kind girls you would never forgive yourself! Hawa Smoothie 6th Ave has been my favorite smoothie and boba spot so far. It's part of my daily routine before I go home. I usually request my tea with tapioca pearls or lychee jelly, but their tea flavors are delicious. Also, the staff is very friendly and supportive. They provide customers with a promotional loytaly card and stamp it everytime you make a purchase. After 10 purchases, they provide the customer with a free drink or açaí bowl which is awesome!
