Hello Sweet Spot — Restaurant in New York

I came for the grand opening (everything free) so much of this review is specific to that.

The acai bowl was pretty good. The fruits were fresh and sweet and given generously (though the had run out of mango).

The staff was very welcoming, fun, energetic, and kind! You could tell that they were enjoying themselves.

The wait was unfortunately extremely long. Though the space was crowded, it wasn't a line out the door that warranted a 20min wait to order + another 30min for the bowl to come out. After observing the kitchen, I noticed a few things -there wasnt much division of labor. Each person would do an entire order, sometimes even cutting up more fruit while doing so because the precut fruit ran out, slowing down the process. -the person taking orders was also making orders, leading to people waiting 5-10 minutes just to be able to order once they've gotten to the register -There was a reliance on remembering which customer ordered what when putting out orders, adding extra strain and confusion for the employees and customers. I think a number system would easily solve this (similar to most boba places where your number is on your receipt and they call it out when ready)

I didn't expect to spend almost an hour from start to finish, but the staff was more than accommodating and everyone was very patient and understanding. I didn't get to try the crepes, but they did look delicious and the employee making them was a great mood/energy lifter.

Wow I wish I took pictures! A Hidden Gem Worth Every Bite! I stumbled upon this cozy crepe spot and was blown away. The crepes were absolutely delicious… perfectly thin, light, and filled with the freshest ingredients. I had the mango coconut and little Nutella added to it, they nailed the flavors. And the fresh-squeezed juice? So refreshing, it tasted like sunshine in a glass. You can tell they really care about quality.
