One of the worst restaurant experiences i ever had. I’ve seen other reviews that say they treat African American people different and that is very true. My girlfriend ordered a passionfruit mojito and they served it to the table next to us. Which wasn't a big deal until we told our waitress and she took the drink to the bar and we saw her swap the straw and come back with the same drink. I also ordered chicken tacos in which they brought me steak tacos. Me and my girlfriend do not eat red meat so i would NEVER order steak tacos. When i told the server that brought the food he had an attitude and tried to tell me i was wrong And i ordered the steak tacos which he showed me on the ticket. After i told him thats not what i ordered once again he stormed off and i had to find my waitress to tell her the order was wrong. She also told me I was wrong and that i ordered carne asada tacos instead of pollo asada, the music is so loud that she must of not heard me, which i gave her the benefit of the doubt until she told me she reordered el pastor (pork) tacos instead and i had to remind her once again that i ordered chicken. Lastly, the male server that came by with the steak tacos was moving chairs to another section of the restaurant, mind you there was a huge empty space by the dj he could of passed to go around but he decided to pass by me twice bumping my chair both times very hard. He stopped looked me in my eye and did not apologize or nothing, I have huge respect for restaurant workers and would never treat anyone disrespectful for no reason because as a person of color myself I know how it is to be mistreated. But i tried my hardest to not get taken over the top by the blatant disrespect i experienced here. Ill never come here again and I recommend the owner give his employees a lesson in hospitality. As a business owner myself in the construction industry if any of my employees ever acted such a way to any of my clients they would be reprimanded accordingly. I doubt they would do such a thing and my complaint will fall on deaf ears. Ive never posted a review of a restaurant in my life but i was so disappointed i had to. To gabi and that server/busboy with the hat on, learn some respect and maybe you’ll get tipped accordingly, i always tip 20-50% additional on the side but i couldnt bring...
Read moreMy experience here was unsatisfactory. The only place I'd recommend highly to people is to Don Pancho's lowest reviews because there was no fabrication in the reviews I have read here after deciding to write mine. I only wish I had looked here before I entered this establishment. I'm saddened by the discrimination! Regardless if you are Latino/x or not, you should not have to experience poor customer service or disrespect because of your appearance or skin color. From the security guard at the front to the waitress and manager inside the restaurant, the disillusion was real! I am baffled because the security guy was not trying to let me in to speak to the hostess to reserve, he was telling me I need to call and nobody answered when I did. The hostess walked off and after a while she came back and he spoke with her to see if he can "let us in" mind you my company and I were all of age. Eventually, he asked to see our I.D and had let us in after she gave him the "ok".
When we ordered tacos we were swindled into thinking their Al Pastor tacos were chicken because that was in the description, and after eating most of it we realized it didn't taste like chicken. We were able to grab the waitress after not seeing her since she took our order and finally got her attention. So I asked her if it was chicken and she said it was pork. But then I showed her the menu and then told her we wanted chicken and that was what I asked for when she took my order down. Again, that's what was advertised and that's what we wanted. We don't eat pork so we were already upset. The customer service was poor because they took over 25 minuets to come up with a solution and in the end tried to charge us twice for the same pork tacos and we wanted CHICKEN TACOS. We were deceived and were not even apologized too. It was very discreditable and cynical of them to spend those minutes editing their menu and gossiping amongst coworkers instead of correcting the mistake they made with our...
Read moreNice brunch spot with a good deal. Happen to come across this location Saturday morning while I was looking for a new restaurant that does brunch. No reservations need and they do brunch Saturdays and Sundays from 12PM to 4:30. Street parking but it’s not hard to find a parking spot around the area. The outside leave some tables and chairs available if you would like to dine out I’m guessing. The inside felt like I walked into Mexico. All nice and festive with the decoration. There are a few spots for a nice photo op. Everyone from the hostess down to the servers were nice. Hookah is available for anyone that likes hookah. Bathrooms are gender neutral. Now for the brunch part. For $39.95 you get two hours unlimited mimosa or sangria along with one appetizer, one entree and one dessert from their brunch menu. Menu of course is limited but have a good selection of food. The drinks were weak but they were good. Didn’t leave with a buzz or anything that you normally get from brunch. You do have the option to of course purchase a regular drink from the drink menu and just pay the difference. I love the pickled onions they had on top of the burrito. Could eat a side of that by itself lol. After we drank our first glass of sangria, it took a little while to get a refill. But once we got our first refill, it was flowing after that. Before you finish one glass someone was there to refill it. The music was also on point, well for me at least. They played a variety of music but of course mostly Spanish music, which I like. The vybz and atmosphere was nice. Already recommended this restaurant to a friend and I would definitely visit again. Oh also…it’s a good idea to have cash when you come here because you save 4%. There is an ATM on site if you don’t have any but you can save on the fees if you just go to your bank beforehand. Gratuity of 20% was also...
