Went for a walk on our last day in town and stopped by Hudson Bagel. They have a huge selection of bagels, cream cheese spreads, breakfast items, drinks, juices, sandwiches and more. The front of the store has a garage door that is open to the street. Although the line was almost out the door, it moved pretty quick. When ordering, I didnt stray too far from the centerline, and ordered an everything bagel, toasted, with plain cream cheese. (There were a lot of other really good looking options for bagels and flavored cream cheese too.) We sat at a table, ate and enjoyed the morning. It cost about $4 and was delicious! Bam, my first bagel in NYC! Cross that off the list!

I moved away from the city many years ago and came back for a trip. This hit the spot. I knew I just wanted a good bagel and they delivered. Loved the quickness of ordering or to put it in simple terms the no BS local approach. Got me my food clean place to eat it your not on the go. Staff was clean and friendly, and food came out within 2 minutes even though the line was out the door. Couldn’t recommend more. Also a nice morning walk off Times Square. I will say if you’re an anxious orderer maybe study the menu before approaching the counter. The no BS order style freaked my friend who’s not used to city pace. She thought they were mad at her lol!

Wow! The New York bagel experience I needed!! Sooo many choices of bagels and cream cheeses you could have a different one for months! The line was long but the service was fast and efficient. Everyone worked seamlessly together and with smiles and friendliness to get everybody served. We chose the H2 Sandwich which was bacon egg cheese and avocado on a bagel (picture shown) it was so delicious!! Of course we also ordered a regular bagel and cream cheese so we could try both and oh boy that scallion cream cheese is something else!! Lots of other fresh ingredients to put on your sandwiches as well, salmon, sausage etc. Everything looked SO GOOD!

I’m so disappointed!! Today was the 3rd time they got my order wrong!! I don’t understand why did this keeps happening? I I ordered a cinnamon bagel toasted with cream cheese and I got someone else’s order. These people are so busy I don’t understand why they don’t Right on the aluminum foil. I hate when the cashier opens up the bagel to be sure if that’s your order and she doesn’t even have gloves on. That’s disgusting with all the money she handles. When I came home to have my breakfast, I realize he gave me the wrong bagel so I called them. I was trying to explain to an employee there and He told me he was closing in five minutes, and if I wasn’t there, I lose my money. I was trying to explain the situation about the wrong bagel and he hung up on me. I was upset, so I ran downstairs and I walked in. As soon as I walked in, They were telling me were closed were closed, but the door was open. When I said I got the wrong bagel and I wanted a refund, He told me you’re the one who called? I said are you the one who hung up on me? He said yes you were so rude! I said how was that possible when you hung up on me and I’m trying to explain to you the situation You just didn’t wanna hear it. I asked to speak to the owner and he says I am the owner and I said no you’re not and all I want is a refund. The cashier was also very rude when I kept asking for a refund. She was so upset she threw the money on the counter. I live in the neighborhood for many years and I’ve never encountered a situation like this before so rude when I go back...

Unfortunately I won’t be returning after a couple incidences of really poor customer service. The first time was a while ago when I got charged at the register I made a comment on how it seemed expensive for a bagel with cream cheese and the cashier said “welcome to NY” with huge attitude. Turns out they had charged me the wrong amount. Then today, I go in and asked for a bagel to be warmed on their panini press instead of the toaster, something they’ve done for me many times before. The manager, with a lot of unneeded attitude told me they won’t do that, and they’ve never done that. I told him, they had, in fact done that many times before, and he proceeds to gaslight me and tell me he’s been there 10 years (the place has been open for 6) and that they’ve never done that. I told him, it’s fine he didn’t want to do it now, but I’ve also been coming since their opening, and I’m not lying. In fact, the first time was when they were so busy and the toaster was full they put it on the grill themselves to save time, and I ended up liking that more so continued to ask for it when I came in. I don’t care all that much about the fact they didn’t put my bagel on the panini press, but I did not like the way I was treated by this manager, and reading other reviews it seems like he has a habit of being rude. So I won’t be returning. Giving 2 stars instead of 1 because a lot of the other workers there are nice (including the guy who actually made my bagel and the cashier today), and the bagels...

I had a HORRIBLE HUMILIATING experience at this place. I ordered a bagel with white fish sandwich. I was asked if I want some lettuce and tomato on the sandwich. I replied sure. When I got to the register the bagel sandwich was almost $14. I was told that they charged me three dollars for lettuce on the sandwich!! When I asked why they didn’t tell me the customer that they were charging such a steep price for two little pieces of lettuce I was told that it’s in writing on the sign above. There is a huge menu sign with 1 million different things on there and maybe or maybe not is it written in small print. I said I think it’s incumbent upon the establishment to tell people that they are going to be charging you such an outrageous price for basic lettuce. They said they have no time to tell every customer who orders. Isn’t that their job?! I asked them to remove the lettuce at which point there was practically no fish in the sandwich. I asked them to please fill the sandwiched of what it would normally be without lettuce. They then refused to give me the sandwich and essentially kicked me out of the establishment. The behavior of the people working here is absolutely atrocious. No customers should be treated like this. And it’s your right to get what you pay for and not be swindled. No bagel should cost that price with just filler. Buyer beware. This establishment is run by...
