As a huge pasta lover—especially for Alfredo fettuccine which I make a lot at home—I was really excited to check out Yummy Cheese Pasta. The place is neat and the staff super friendly, but the pasta was a bit of a letdown.

I ordered the basic fettuccine with olive oil, added some extra mushrooms, and topped it with the Yummy sauce. But the pasta felt more like something from a noodle joint in Northern China (but also much worse than those, Chinese noodles are very good actually)—soft, chewy, and kinda wrinkly, not what you’d expect from good pasta made with semolina or 00 flour. And I noticed them carrying a huge bag of all-purpose flour to the kitchen, so that explains the texture.

The real bummer was how bland it was. There was hardly any cheese flavor, which is usually the heart of any great pasta dish. Plus, I couldn’t taste the butter at all, and the lack of herbs and black pepper really made the dish feel flat. Without those, you lose all the depth and those punchy flavors that make pasta pop. The olive oil I asked for? Couldn’t taste the spiciness of good olive oil either. Even the mushrooms were just so so.

So while the service and cleanliness were top-notch, the pasta just...

On our recent trip to NYC, my wife and I noticed a new addition to the Hell's Kitchen food scene, Yummy Cheese Pasta on 9th Avenue (between 47th and 48th). This is one of those places that cooks your pasta in a large parmesan bowl you may have seen on social media. (We almost tried one during our Christmas visit, but the line was long and they were asking $20+ for a basic fettucine alfredo, we passed).

On this trip, we passed Yummy before attending a Broadway show and thought it might be a nice bite to hold us over since we were planning on eating a late dinner after the show. We split the Classic Alfredo, a bargain at just under $10. The pasta was fresh and cooked al dente. The sauce was cheesy goodness and obviously quality. We were pleasantly surprised at the portion size, more than enough to share. The place was clean and the folks behind the counter were friendly. We'll definitely be back and check out the different toppings and other sauces, which all looked good as we saw them prepare other orders. Wish this place nothing but success. Definitely a welcome addition to the...

“Italian Pasta, Fresh Made, Authentic Taste”

Yummy Cheese Pasta truly delivers on both food and vibe 🍝 The moment you walk-in, you’re greeted by the sight of fresh pasta being made in front of you. Let’s talk about the BEST part.

“Fettuccine Alfredo” “Spinach Fettuccine Alfredo” “Red Beet Fettuccine Alfredo”

If you looking for an AUTHENTIC Italian experience, this place is an absolute gem. Fettuccine Alfredo is my top 1, a classic Italian pasta dish featuring fettuccine noodles tossed in a rich & creamy sauce

Start a colorful day with Spinach Fettuccine Alfredo with a vibrant color. Red Beet Fettuccine Alfredo looks STUNNING 😍 tastes incredible, all ingredients give this secret sauce a serious flavor punch 🥊

Don’t sleep on the “Arrancini” rice ball 🍙 SO CHEESY 🧀 has rich & creamy texture. Tiramisu is the best thing when I decided...

The pasta was rich and filling here—the base pasta is hand mixed in a giant cheese wheel. Then you add a sauce/meat. Quite fun! I would definitely come back here for a hearty meal. I put a 4-star food-wise because I got their fresh strawberry lemonade and it was not great. He suggested I order the strawberry lemonade instead of the regular lemonade that night. He said the lemons they used were a bit unripe so it was very sour. He gave me a sample of the regular which I did not enjoy so I took his suggestion for the strawberry lemonade. Eek, it was even more bitter/sour. Not amazing. I have a feeling there was a mishap with the lemons and it’s usually fantastic. However I don’t think he should have sold me it. The place is small so I would probably order takeout again. Overall wonderful pasta and very creative idea.

I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve been to Italy, where pasta and pizza are the only things I’ll eat. Yet somehow, this blew me away—it was, bar none, one of the best freshest pasta I’ve ever had outside of Italy. The pasta is handmade from scratch the moment you order, then twirled through a giant wheel of Parmigiano until every strand is luxuriously coated in velvety creaminess. Add your choice of sauces and toppings for just $1–$4, and what you get is nothing short of pasta perfection. Literally savoring each bite—rich, silky, and bursting with authentic flavor. And the best part? This unforgettable experience cost only $9.90. An absolute must-try for every pasta lover—highly recommend!
