Good pizza ,they also sell food but I only had 2 slices of cheese pizza and a sprite it was delicious and if I am in the area I would come back again. Now hear this: I am sitting there eating my and the guy that cleans the tables comes and wipes the tables around, then stands there as I eat and am just having these strange thoughts ( yes am a black woman eating a Jewish pizza shop) he is of Spanish decent as I know there are at least 10 or more tables behind me so I figured let me get another slice and I put the other tray on top the thing he picks it up wipe it off and rather than take it back he moves but a little off and stands there another 2 or 3 minutes then goes away. Now this maybe nothing maybe he wanted to say hello maybe he wanted to take a few minutes to say hello to his family and it was just all my wild imagination as to be honest I do have one.

The pizza is great, well made, proper cheese consistency of soft and oozy without running away from your slice. I'm very happy that this place isn't modernized like many others. The '90s pizza store ambiance that we grew up with (curved big benches and tables mounted to the walls on one side and overhead lightly blowing ceiling fans) only adds, not subtracts, to this place.

More than a cheeeeeey slice of pizza. They have huge selection from meals to desserts. A great neighborhood pizzeria and family friendly. Fresh vegetables and soups. Tomato and cheese pie just soul food. Eggplant parmigiana is my favorite and I got the best ever mozzarella sticks! The pizza men over there are accommodating. The dinning is bright with a lot of seats.

Good food if you find it available. They tend to run out of the good gourmet slices of pizza and refuse to make anymore for the day by one o'clock. The meals they make are for kosher eaters and definitely are priced high. The pizza is made kosher too but everybody eats them. Even Spanish and unkosher Russians. The pizzas are moderately priced and for the neighborhood a pie is a good deal. Buy your sodas outside at the dollar store and take your food to go. They are fanatical about customers using the bathroom and even if you eat there often they throw you out of the bathroom if you try to use it the one time you don't eat there. The neighborhood is absolutely abysmal about strangers using bathrooms and predjudiced as Hades if you use the bathroom and don't look like you belong in the area. I'd suggest you ask Walgreens to use theirs instead of Jerusalem ll pigs. The customer service tends once again on how you look to the clerk's. The Mexican workers are the most predjudice and will run to help a Jew but if you are Jewish and don't look the part the Mexicans snub you. The Albanian Italian pizza maker is why this business has lasted. He's kind and makes excellent pizzas. If he's still working there. The place is busy so expect to wait longer than other restaurants. The dining area almost always have dirty tables so if you want an inexpensive meal go here for pizza but you may find you have to clean a table to eat. Order to go. I don't believe the kitchen grade is posted where you can see it. They will try to sell you burnt or old pizzas if you order to go so remember to inspect your pizza before you let them seal the box. I got caught there one too many times with bad pizza because I don't look like I belong in the neighborhood and I tip well which you never expect from the kosher customers. It's just the one on Ave j that you find this trouble with and I don't know about the others from...

I arrived at J2 at about 10:30 on a Saturday night.. waited on the line for 15 minutes ....as I was waiting on the line I watched as Dumb and Dumber the only 2 counter helpers try and serve the customers.. When it was my turn I said to the counter fellow..." One Full Pie ... please " he promptly calculated the bill and told me " 74.00 please..." Obviously this guy didn't speak much English as Spanish was his native language.... I corrected him and said " not 4 pies ....only one pie please " at which point he corrected his calculation...he took my credit card and charged me $18.50.... And then he said .... " please wait half an hour....." I started to wait and slowly began to realize that NO ONE WAS MAKING PIZZA PIES...at this store I asked the counter person....why are we waiting..??? And he replied " da pizza guy comming soon " I was astonished.. and asked him how can he charge my card knowing full well that NO PIZZAS ARE AVAILABLE.... He shrugged his shoulder ..... I had to look for another more responsible guy in the back to get my money back.. Needless to say I am not happy with the way things went .I waisted practically half an hour as my family was eagerly waiting...
