Update: So, I went back in 2019 and found that Joe and his brother had sold the shop to a gentleman from Montenegro in 93, 7 years after I left NY. He has owned the shop ever since. He was very friendly, I wish I could remember his name. Lots of memories but it looks smaller, as everything does when you get older. This is one of the best hidden gems in the whole NYC. Their sauce is very authentic, and old recipe style. The last time I tasted pizza like this, was in Italy. The owner is very polite and values customers over dollars. Joe will make sure you're 100% satisfied. 30 years I've been eating here, without 1 bad thing ever happening to me in those 30 years of service.
