I wanted to try a new pizza spot so I went ahead and called these guys, now at the beginning the guy answered the phone. I asked him a little bit about the order he seemed kind of nonchalant but I figured he was tired. I go call back to place an order cause I wanted . I give him the order, my card information and my address then he hangs up the phone. I called back because I wanted to know the total he didn’t bother to tell me. I go and I ask him for the total I hear him on the phone talking to the guys making the pizzas, he then says we don’t sell one of the products by itself it has to be a pie. I asked him for alternatives because I can’t have the tomato sauce. I asked him if he charged the card already he said no. He tells me to hold on and he hangs up. I’ve called back three times minutes after. So now I placed an order in which I gave my card information and address. The order wasn’t processed when I gave the information allegedly and he wasn’t aware that one product couldn’t be sold separately. I asked him nicely for alternatives and only to have the call ended. I called back and nobody picks up the phone. Honestly completely discouraged me from wanting to buy here and now I have a real issue with the fact that my personal information is out there. I don’t want to be charged and I want to make sure that they do not have...
Read moreIt's hard to find good pizza in NYC nowadays. What was once THE place to get great pizza, has now become hit or miss, and good luck finding classic, yummy, New York pizza. Johnny's is mostly consistent- meaning most of the time they're good or great. Though, there have been a few times I didn't like it. This time, they were pretty good. My son LOVED it- he said it was the best pizza ever! I had a very cheesy extra cheese slice- which was a nice, welcome change from what I've been getting from other pizzerias. The garlic knots were amazing, as they usually are. My daughter had a beef patty, which is difficult to mess up, so nothing to note there.
They had 2 2-person tables & a tall, standing table set up outside since there is currently no indoor seating due to the pandemic. It'd be nice if they kept this once everything clears up. It was nice eating outside in the shade. It's always busy but the staff are attentive to all the customers. And though it's been a while since I've been there, they always remember me.
Johnny's is one of the better pizzerias I've had in Brooklyn. When I'm in Sunset Park, this is usually where I'll go. Happy to see them still in business after all...
Read moreI’ve ordered from this place for years. Sometimes you will get a Spanish guy who takes your order and he is funny and pleasant, other times you get this young Italian guy who obviously hates his job and he sure lets you know it by his unprofessional attitude. I overlook it because the quality of food is always so good. But today I really feel sad about this place, because they showed me that they are willing to be stingy with their ingredients and when I called to ask why my chicken parmesan sandwich had such little cheese on it that you could say there was no cheese on it, (and I did say that to the boss) his response was that I must have ordered a regular sub. I let him know that I ordered a sub Parmesan. He agreed to pick up my sandwich and deliver me a new one. Wow, it was almost the identical sandwich. Hardly any cheese. You would think that I would receive a real chicken parmesan sandwich but no such luck. So dissatisfied. Still love their food but I won’t be ordering...
