Keg & Lantern Southside — Restaurant in New York

Keg & Lantern Southside has the best food, beer, and cocktails, all served by very welcoming and personable staff in a memorable atmosphere with a unique aesthetic. We went for brunch and they brought us what have to be the BEST wings in Brooklyn. We had the gochujang and mango fire wings and they were both super crispy, loaded with sauce and savory flavor that paired perfectly with their beers. All of the brunch dishes ordered were very tasty and of top notch quality. I also have to speak highly about the beer since they have such a diverse variety of options on tap. Jam session and frosty nectar were my favorites. This is a great addition to the Keg & Lantern family and we look forward to returning again soon....

Waitress presented me with the digital tablet to sign off on my bill. Was just shown a total on the screen, and not once did she mention an automatic 20% gratuity had already been applied. I never received a paper receipt. The only way I realized was after I signed I had a copy of the receipt texted to me. I gave her an additional 20%, so she walked away with 40% total. It’s on me to ask the question, but feels extremely shady to not directly inform the customer. Especially when you’re just asked to present a card for a total...

Update: I love this place for watching sports. So many TVs and always a place to sit.

Also it’s not even on their menu but the Arnold Palmer is insanely good. Perfect balance and couldn’t be colder.

It’s hard for me to rate this place. On a Wednesday night with a friend, I’d rather be anywhere else. It’s pretty empty. But I’m here now with a group of friends watching the final four and it’s the only place I want to be. Lots of space, good food, fine drinks. AC. Lots of TVs. 90s emo/pop but...
