Kick Axe Throwing in Brooklyn is a fantastic spot for anyone looking to try something new and exciting. Whether you’re celebrating a special event or just looking for a unique night out, this place delivers a memorable experience. From the location to the atmosphere, Kick Axe really knows how to combine fun and entertainment with an upbeat and trendy vibe.

Location (5/5): The location is absolutely perfect! Kick Axe Throwing is situated right in the heart of Brooklyn, making it easily accessible whether you’re local or coming in from another part of the city. It’s close to great restaurants and bars, so it’s the ideal place to kick off a night out or wrap up an afternoon of exploring. Parking can be tricky, as expected in this part of the city, but with public transportation options nearby, it’s super convenient to get to.

Facility (4/5): The facility is clean and well-designed, with a cool, rustic-chic decor that fits the axe-throwing theme perfectly. The wooden accents and cozy atmosphere really make it feel like you’re stepping into a lumberjack lodge—but with a modern twist! While the space is generally well-organized, it can get a little crowded when it’s busy, which is the only reason I’m giving the facility four stars instead of five. The throwing lanes were well-maintained, but during peak times, it felt a little tight with larger groups sharing the space.

Customer Service (4/5): The staff at Kick Axe Throwing was friendly and helpful, but there’s some room for improvement in terms of attentiveness. They did a great job of explaining the rules and safety guidelines, and the instructors gave some helpful tips to improve our throwing. That said, during busier moments, it felt like the staff was stretched a little thin, and we had to wait a bit longer than expected for some assistance. Overall, though, they were enthusiastic and made sure everyone was having fun, which contributed to the lively atmosphere.

Drink Selection (5/5): The drink selection at Kick Axe Throwing is fantastic! They have a well-curated menu of local craft beers, ciders, and even some creative cocktails. It’s clear that they’ve put thought into offering a range of drinks that appeal to different tastes, and I loved being able to sip on a fun cocktail while taking turns throwing axes. The drink menu is definitely one of the highlights of the experience, and it adds to the overall vibe of the place. They even have some non-alcoholic options for those who prefer not to drink, which is a nice touch.

Overall Experience (4/5): Overall, Kick Axe Throwing offers a really fun and exciting experience that’s great for groups, date nights, or even team-building events. The vibe is lively, and you can tell that everyone is there to have a good time. While the space can feel a bit crowded during peak hours, and the staff could use a bit more support to handle the rush, the experience is still overwhelmingly positive. The atmosphere, combined with the awesome drink selection and friendly staff, makes it a great place to spend an evening.

If you’re in Brooklyn and looking for something different to do, I highly recommend giving Kick Axe Throwing a try! It’s a fantastic way to mix some friendly competition with a laid-back, fun environment. Whether you're a first-timer or an experienced axe thrower, you’re bound to have a...

I would give Negative 5 If I could. Do not book for Parties! We celebrated my husband's B-day at Kick Axe Brooklyn place on 10/11/21. The staff was very professional and nice, the place is ok. But management is terrible and how it is dealing with overcharges is unacceptable. Let start that we was required to do prepayment before booking (regular in many places): · prepayment was made on day of reservation $89.50+$89.50=$179.00 · my check for Everything was for $1054.21 · All together we paid to this place $1054.21+$179.00=$1233.21. These are all-authorized charges, we agreed on the moment we left the place. It was for 3 hours. I came around 6:45-6:50 and it was only 5 pp. playing from 6 pm if our group. Around 7:30 other guests starts coming. On last hour it was 12 of us (throwing 2 axes, yep). Few small pizzas and beer. Decided for yourself if it is expensive or not. Problem starts on Wednesday when I saw very strange activity on my CC. I saw multiple charges from Kick Axe Brooklyn I did NOT authorize: $78.31+$78.31+$67.13+$39.16+$27.97=$290.88

I called Kick Axe Brooklyn place which charged me and asked a simple question: "what is going on with all these strange transactions?" I was asked to send proof of the receipt (Seriously?! You do not know how much my reservation bill was?) and charges I see on my account. The nice girl assured me that this is a mistake, and all extra charges will disappear, this is a system just generating charges for unknown reasons. It is unpleasant, I was confused but decided to let it go…. On Saturday I checked my bank account and I find out that extra charges (which I did NOT authorize and was promised will disappear) are on my account! Really? Sounds fishy. I texted the girl right away, but she was not working that day. I called the place; a manager could not explain what is happening. He mentioned if I see charges it means they are for a reason. I believe that if a place charges people without their concern this is a fraud. I would never believe that daily reconciliation did not show excess cash. The restaurant system is usually very straightforward. And cash report is done on daily basis, even if place, as manager claimed, have multiple systems which are not connected with each other, place still needs to do cash reconciliation and extra cash will appear. I do not know if management “accidentally” missed it, or it is done on the regular basis. I believe that my experience was terrible, how management handles issue is unacceptable. Even if I liked the place I will never come back again and will not recommend this to anyone, because I want to protect them from this terrible experience.

Was it worth celebrating in Kick Axe Brooklyn the B-day? NO, believe me, if I knew that I would have to deal with all of these I would NEVER even think to come near Kick...

Highly disappointed. Would not recommend.

I had emailed to the corporate email address please review. Sharing again below.

I’m requesting a full refund. I had reserved a spot for myself and a friend (2 people) on December 30th for axe throwing at your Brooklyn location. When we were told to sign the waiver we were NOT informed we would be joining another party of people. If I’m paying good money to enjoy a day out with a friend I don’t expect to be put in a confined space with complete strangers mind you Covid is still here. My time playing would also have been subsidized being two against 4 others. It was me and my friend and two couples who were taken over to an instructor before she could begin instructing I asked are we joining this group on one lane, she implied yes. Surely anyone would have a problem with that. I informed her this becomes a safety concern for me not only as we are neck and neck throwing axes but I didn’t feel comfortable in close quarters with great chance I could get Covid from these strangers who we were put with.

Your website does not indicate you must have a certain amount of people NOT CLEAR in your party to play and the girl at the front desk secondly did not inform us we would have to play with others, people we do not know.

The General Manager was not empathetic, acted like he could care less, made no efforts to make this right, did not offer a refund when clearly I didn’t participate in the activities.

I’m very upset of how this was unprofessionally handled. It’s not right. There were 10 other lanes open and he couldn’t even put us on one due to company policy. I do not live anywhere near Brooklyn it’s not convenient to...

It was a close friends of mine‘s birthday. I had never been asked throwing and have heard lots about it, so I was excited but had very luck expectations for my skills. We were greeted by Lawrence and another staff member. Lawrence kind of gave me an attitude when I walked in, but I let it go because I understand that we’re all human. We had an instructor named Levy he was super chill and very professional the whole time. I really liked that every time we were throwing he would give us tips and explain how to hold the axe correctly. The space is really nice, they have an outdoor space that has trees and seating and a big bull that you can take photos with. The indoor space has a huge living room and lounge vibe, it’s very much man cave and flannel with leather couches. And they also have a cool photo booth that has little props to take awesome photos with your friends after. I think that the beers and pizza were pretty good, highly recommend the pair European cider, it was delicious. Also recommend a pepperoni pizza which honestly was small but was very satisfying to eat and a thin crust. Honestly our group had a lot of fun, and was really excited about competing against each other and playing the cool games they had for us. I would recommend going earlier around six or 7 PM because the crowds really come at 9 PM. I think my only complaint would be that it is a tad expensive per person. And if you go in a large group of six or more, you will have less time to actually throw axe. So maybe go on a date here, or a few friends.
