Homage Skateboard Academy — Attraction in New York

I recently decided I wanted to learn to skateboard as an adult, and while this is an intimidating thing to do, the team at Homage has been so kind and encouraging which has a huge impact! I first came in to buy my board and then came back to take a private lesson. Both experiences were great and incredibly helpful for me as a new skateboarder. I felt like I came away with a good foundation for learning on my own, but I'm also looking forward to attending an adult group class as well....

The team at Homage is amazing! We came for a bachelorette outing as five people in our mid thirties who had never skated and were incredibly anxious about trying to skateboard- Andrew and Alex immediately put us at ease and were so supportive and fun! Definitely a great place for a night out with a group of friends or even as a date, something totally different. We hit up a brewery around the corner afterwards on their recommendation and made a night of it, everyone had a blast....

This shop is in the warehouse district of Brooklyn. The care and attention provided by the staff to my 10 year olds birthday party was awesome. My son learned to drop in on the half pipe and did some mechanics that really helped him stay safe on his board.
