Kung Fu Tea — Restaurant in New York

I’ve been here often and have gotten my order with no issue until my most recent visit. I’m not sure if she’s a new hire (I’ve never seen her there before), but the girl at the register was extremely rude. I come into the store like usual and give a polite greeting and place my order, but this time she seems to not understand what I want (a simple bubble tea) and she makes mocking faces and speaks back in a condescending tone while slurping down a drink when I try to clarify. I never had to repeat myself so many times and it felt like we were talking in circles. She didn’t even notify me when my order was ready, so I had to guess if the boba was mine and she nodded when I asked, as if she couldn’t be bothered to do her job. I still thanked her; it seems like she needed kindness. I understand having a bad day, but taking it out on a paying customer is not the way to go. I never had any issues with the previous employees that attended me before. They always understood the order and promptly gave it to me. I don’t know why this girl was making it so difficult and treating me like an idiot. Less than happy. If there was a negative star review I would choose that. We ordered 2 Build your own Poke Bowls and a Salmon Bowl. Poke station mixed and match all the ingredients of the 2 Build your own bowls and got it all wrong, THEN neglected to include the Salmon bowl. And THEN compounded the aggravation by having US CALL the uber driver to fix the issue. So there was a lot of back and forth between us, the confused driver and poke station. To top it all off, poke station refused to mix a new Salmon bowl [raw fish that was basically sitting on their counter top for more than an hour and we were told they have it next to the A/C]. Poke Station isn't replacing ANY of the orders that they got wrong. This place isn't worth the aggravation of eating the wrong food if it actually ever gets to you in the first place. Kungfu Tea overly charged me and took a tip that was unauthorized on Friday September 11, 2025. The salad was overly soggy, the shrimp was hard. I only got three shrimp and they were a dollar a shrimp. The manager refuse to talk to me and their phone is always busy. I was charged $34.87 for shrimp, salad and salmon. The salmon was cut in half and I was charged double. Again. I will keep trying until this place give my tip and shrimp money back. $1.00 a hard shrimp is ridiculous! Kungfu Tea has a practice of taking tip money from black people without their permission. I had already filed a complaint with the BBB, Kungfu Tea Corperate and now waiting for a response. I just want my money back.
