This location was recommended by my uncle for my cousin's 30th birthday. Seems to be a great location the food from The Establishment was good some of the staff IE Steven was amazing! However I did have a lot of issues and was disappointed. Let me explain. Because it was a milestone birthday The Establishment confirmed with my family that we were able to come and decorate The Establishment at 12:00 p.m. that time was reconfirmed many times prior to the day of the event. The day of the event coming to the establishment no one was there. We called and someone said that they would be open at 2:00. Which is the normal hours. We get there at 2:00 and things were still delayed because of lack of communication. Now the gentleman that I initially spoke to told me that he was the owner of the establishment. When speaking to him he asked me why I needed to be there for 12:00 to decorate the space for my cousin's birthday. I was confused because that was the time that was confirmed and reconfirmed days before. as I was in there trying to figure out what was going on there were so many things that puzzled me. There was a man setting up a camera station beginning to film. In the space that we were supposed to have the event there was a huge picture drop of graduates. Which is not a problem however those graduates have nothing to do with my cousin's party. And when asked what was going to be done and they told me it was going to be thrown behind almost sheer white curtains. I was confused. Eventually the picture was taken down. But then I was having issues with storage for my fruit tray and certain foods that we were bringing for our guests. Because it's an establishment I'm thinking they can keep it up until the time for the event. The gentleman told me that he had no space for my fruit tree and that he had nowhere to keep my Patty's warm or chilled before the event. That was upsetting. Because later on after going to a different space in the restaurant to start setting up decorations I actually met my server that was going to be helping me that evening and he had no problems grabbing my fruit tray putting it away for me to be chilled he had no problems taking my patties and keeping them warm until it was time to be served. So I was very upset that a server was able to provide me with the type of service and communication that would be needed at the time rather than the owner of the establishment. Now I'm not too sure if there's many owners or one but the one that I spoke to was not the person that needs to be handling customer service. With all that being said, I want to say thank you to Steven! For working hard and making sure that we were good and the other boy that helped out. Thank you to the guy that hooked me up...
Read moreThis restaurant deserves "NO STARS" whatsoever. Absolutely horrible customer service. My cousin was injured by the lack of professionalism from the staff. For one there was only one bathroom for the patrons to use. The supervisor at the time, had escorted my cousin to use the bathroom that was located downstairs. In this bathroom, my cousin became severely injured by the sheetrock that was laying on the bathroom floor. My family and I address the supervisor (a female with brown complexion and brown dyed braids) about what occurred in the bathroom with my cousin. When she was notified about the incident, she advised us that the manager is not at the restaurant and that she will supposedly call the manager. The supervisor then proceed to walk away. While walking away we proceeded to follow the supervisor. We notice the supervisor was attempting to hide inside the kitchen. One of my family members went inside the bathroom that had the sheetrock that injured my cousin. This family member moved the sheetrock out of the way to prevent another patron from getting injured. Then we proceeded to go back to the kitchen to where the supervisor was hiding and demanded to speak with the manager. After about two seconds or so, the manager appeared to speak with us about the issue at hand. Once the manager was notified about what occurred in the bathroom and the injury which resulted from the sheetrock being inside the bathroom, the manager kept putting blame on my cousin for his injury. This manager was not taking accountability for his ability to manage the facility. The manager continuously kept putting blame on my cousin and did not care that my cousin was injured due to his incompetency to manage a restaurant. There was no apology from the staff whatsoever. My cousin injury is very severe. He as a broken ankle that is swollen and he has to use crutches to go from one place to the next.
As such, legal action will be taking place against this establishment. Anyone who decides to enter this place of business, be forewarn that this place does not care about their patrons and will blame everything on...
Read moreIt seems like this place has a lot of fake reviews because I came here on two different occasions and both times the service was terrible. Most recently, I came here for a communion event. Red flag 🚩 1: one of the waitresses had a horrible attitude, she was being rude to my sister and I and when she was handing out wings there were certain people she gave 3 or 4 wings to and when my sister requested for two flats she looked at her , laughed at her and then threw one drum and flat into her plate and proceeded to ignore my sister and I. When the other waitress was passing malanga fritters ( which was the best food there imo) everyone got two but as soon as she reached me she ran out and didn’t try to get more. I found it extremely ridiculous that I was going through this when my father booked a section for my sister, myself and 30 other people.
Red flag 🚩 2: it was like pulling teeth to get water. There was the group of people that were dining in the section I was in and they also had two other parties of people with the same amount and there were only two servers (90 vs 2 u do the math). The place was EXTREMELY tight!
Red flag 🚩 3: I arrived at 7 and we received our food 2-3 hours later and the food was disgusting. It wasn’t that warm and it also had no taste
To make a long story short, if I received the proper customer service I was entitled to, then I wouldn’t be taking my time to passionately write down every single moment of my experience.
