In the age of Covid, I think most of us can agree that CUSTOMER SERVICE and HOSPITALITY are pinnacle for any small business to survive in NYC right now. They endure constraints and regulation changes, and they are constantly pivoting to meet the needs of their consumers as well as local and state governments. LALU DELI has been my go-to through the pandemic when I want a craft beer delivery. A while back, I received a delivery with beer that was out-of-code… and tasted like it. I left them 4 stars instead of 5 that day, explaining about the product- THE OWNER CALLED ME! and told me that he would tack on two of my favorite beers that I order regularly to my next order, and thanked me for my patronage, the kind review, and constructive feedback. I told him this wasn’t necessary, and then I just appreciated his amazing CS of calling. Next delivery that I ordered was dropped without any extra beer …UNTIL 1 HOUR LATER! I received a delivery of 2 of my favorite local Northeast Craft Beers and a “thank you” from their delivery agent.
