This Momofuku Milk Bar is a great location in the Upper West Side. Right off the C Train 86th Street stop, this location is far away from tourists, so it's almost always close to empty. Nonetheless, this Momofuku Mlik Bar still serves up the great sweet goodies that we've all come to love. Once you walk in, you'll notice that this place isn't big, but there is still some seating along the wall for those who want to have a pork bun or two. For myself, my visits here have always been quick and easy.
When coming to Milk Bar, you have to get the cookies right? At $1.85 a piece, it's actually a pretty reasonable price. With 5 flavors to choose from, you really can have your pickings: blueberry & cream, compost cookie, corn, cornflake-marshmallow, and chocolate-chocolate. Of course, their bread and butter is the compost cookie. Loaded with toffee, pretzels, potato chips, and chocolate, this cookie really is a smorgasbord of everything. Another one of my favorites is the blueberry & cream. It's not overly sweet, and has actual blueberries inside, which is always a warm welcome.
On top of cookies, Milk Bar serves up some unique milks, soft serves, and shakes. One of my top picks is the cereal milk. At $5, this milk tastes exactly what it sounds like; cereal. Sweets aside, Momofuku Milk Bar carries their coveted pork bun. These are served at the other Momofuku restaurants, so if you're familiar with them, then you know exactly what you're going to get.
Sure, the price of their soft serve ($8), shakes ($7), milks ($5), and pies ($44) are a little on the pricey side. However, you know that these sweets always are on point. Even better, this Upper West Side location has same day delivery from 58th St - 123rd St between Central Park West and West End Avenue.
Skip the lines at the other locations and make your way here. It's chill, clean, and it serves up those Momofuku Milk Bar goodies that you've...
Read moreSo we were desperate for ice cream on an excessively hot day. I thought my daughter would take anything frosty and sweet. All she wanted was vanilla ice cream with rainbow sprinkles. And I would take anything tasty and cool after we had walked 4 or 5 blocks in 95°F heat. However, when they offered a sample for us to try of their standard base - the cereal milk flavor - both my daughter and I felt instant revulsion. I didn't say anything in case she liked it, but she was even more grossed out than I was. We practically ran out of there, and tossed the mostly full sample in the trash at the corner. Is it always like this? Slightly sour and oddly pungent? We eat a lot of cereal at home and the milk tastes absolutely delicious after even our most healthy cereals are eaten. This ice cream did not taste like cereal milk. It tasted like sour/spoiled milk that should not have been used to make cereal in the first place. I only gave it two stars because we didn't try anything else and the cookies I have had as gifts (the last one about four years ago) were pretty tasty if a little...
Read moreAs a once-loyal customer of Milk Bar, I am compelled to express my utter disappointment with how they’ve handled their recent promotion. At the start of the year, they proudly advertised a $1 soft serve on the 16th of every month. However, when I visited on September 16th, I was told, with no prior notice, that the promotion had ended. No official communication, no sign—nothing but a broken promise.
I reached out to their headquarters via email and received no response. I took to social media to get clarity, only to be met with complete silence. This lack of transparency and utter disregard for customer loyalty is infuriating. If Milk Bar can’t even honor a simple promotion or provide basic customer service, it speaks volumes about how they value (or rather, don’t value) their customers.
I expected much better from a brand I supported for more than a decade, but this level of disrespect is unacceptable. Milk Bar has shown that they are not interested in building or maintaining customer trust. I won’t be returning, and I strongly advise others to reconsider their...
