Iâve been here twice, first time getting the Lychee Rose and another limited edition I canât remember, the second time getting their âGrand Openingâ Vanilla and Coconut. Same issues both times. Their more flavored frostings have an awful chemical taste to them, the cake is way too dense, and the buttercream frosting is awful. The butter to sugar ratio is way off and itâs desperately begging for more sugar (as someone who also bakes). Itâs not sweet at all so it just tastes buttery, not at all how you want a buttercream icing to taste. Each time iâve completely taken the icing off because it just wasnât pleasant to eat. Itâs disappointing because they look so beautiful but unfortunately are no more pleasant to eat than a cheap supermarket cupcake.
Really want to love this place because the cupcakes are so beautiful, the flavors are good idea wise, and we need more bakeries in Queens. But the taste just isnât there which is the most important thing. I really hope they consider this feedback because if they simply fixed their frosting (more sugar and change whatever flavoring youâre using) and made their cake less dense they would be golden. Unfortunately I cannot see myself...
Read moreNew York City is known for offering just about anything you could crave, especially when it comes to food. But not every spot delivers. Case in point: Leidylicious, a pastry shop with plenty of dessert options and fresh coffee that somehow misses the mark entirely. For starters, stepping inside, youâd expect to be greeted by the smell of something freshly baked. Instead, the air is oddly neutral, almost sterileâCostcoâs bread department is like a bakery paradise compared to this.
I decided to give it a shot anyway and chose two cupcakes: one lychee rose with pink icing on a golden cake, and a chocolate cupcake with chocolate icing. But when I tried to cut through them with a spoon, they were so dense and hard that I had to ask for a knife. The cashierâs explanation? âIt gets hard because itâs buttercream.â Really? Anyone whoâs had a true buttercream cupcake, like those from Magnolia, knows theyâre smooth, fluffy, and melt-in-your-mouth soft. These tasted like theyâd been brought in from a supermarket and given a quick makeover to look homemade.
All in all, this was a disappointing experience. When you want a fresh, memorable cupcake, this is far from the...

A huge thank you to Lydia and her team for pulling through with our last-minute baby reveal cake! We reached out late Thurs night, and by Friday night the cake was ready. That level of service truly went above and beyond, and I couldnât be more grateful
The cake itself was perfect the flavor was delicious, the frosting was amazing, and everyone loved it. We showed them a photo of what we wanted, and they delivered exactly that. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of the cake itself, but we did capture the setup, and it looked beautiful.
We also tried the cupcakes, which were just as tasty. Everything turned out better than we could have imagined, especially since this was all so last minute.
Thank you again, Lydia and team weâll definitely be coming back and highly recommend you to anyone looking for quality, service, and...
