Hello Madras Dosa Co. Team,
I want to bring to your urgent attention the shocking experience I had at your Rockefeller Center location today. I ordered the 3-piece uttapam ($17 plus tax), and what was served to me were three paper-thin discs that looked and tasted like dosa, not uttapam.
This is not a small matter of inconsistency — it is a complete misrepresentation of what the dish is supposed to be. On 8/15, I had the exact same order at your 41st Street branch, and the uttapam there was exactly as it should be: thick, fluffy, and satisfying. Today’s version was unrecognizable, unacceptable, and frankly insulting to customers who know authentic South Indian food.
If such glaring inconsistency continues between your branches, it will not take long before word spreads and customers stop trusting your brand. At $17 a plate, guests deserve authenticity and consistency. Serving dosa and calling it uttapam is not just poor quality it risks the credibility of your entire business.
I strongly urge you to immediately address this quality issue with your Rockefeller Center kitchen staff. If customers repeatedly encounter this kind of experience, it will only drive them away and hurt your reputation in a very competitive food scene.

Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful Indian restaurant Madras Dosa and Co., and I have to say—it’s a true gem for South Indian cuisine lovers in the heart of New York. The dosas were perfectly crisp, the sambar was rich and flavorful, and the chutneys added the right balance of spice and freshness. Each dish felt authentic, like a taste of South India in every bite.
But the real highlight was the masala tea. Warm, aromatic, and spiced just right—it was the perfect way to end the meal. You can tell they put a lot of care into their recipes and ingredients.
The ambiance is cozy, and the staff is friendly and attentive. Whether you’re familiar with South Indian food or trying it for the first time, this place is a must-visit. Highly...
