Mancini's — Restaurant in New York

Before I begin my review, I feel it necessary to say, I am a homeless man residing on the streets of Bay Ridge. I've been this way for a couple years now, and some days are easy and more days are extremely hard. Thankfully, when this stage of my life began, I hobbled into Mancini's. From Day One, I was greeted by the friendliest restaurant staff, I've ever met. From Frank the owner, to his hilarious Dad, to Peter and Benny (Frank's Management Team), the many hardworking cashiers, cooks and delivery drivers (John, Paul and Lenny to name a few), they always made it a point to make me feel welcomed with open arms and great food. Since that very first day, Frank would not accept a penny from me and believe me when I tell you, this gourmet cuisine and awesome pizza would be worth every dollar begged for. It is such a relief knowing that, no matter how hard life gets, even I, have a home with friends, family, fantastic food and a cozy environment to end each and every day. If for nothing else, please visit Mancini's, so they can continue to feed me, Lol. Seriously though, I recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone looking to dine in an atmosphere of warmth and friendliness while enjoying the tastiest Italian cuisine you'll ever have. The Penne Ala Vodka, Chicken Rolls and Meatballs are my faves. MY girlfriend and I spent some time in New York and the first thing you'll notice is the sheer volume of Pizzarias in this city. most charge about 5 dollars per slice and i didn't have any bad experiences out of any I tried. However the place that stood tall above everywhere was Mancini's! Do yourself a favour and visit as their pizza is truly phenomenal. The resteraunt is absolutely spotless which is always a huge plus in my book also. The owner Frank is a true gentleman. He went above and beyond to make our stay there memorable and understanding that we are English, knew that we needed a guide through the true Italian/American pizza experience. He gave us a plate of Zeppelinis and Garlic knots on the house so we could have the full experience and wouldn't even allow us to tip him.. Even if his food wasn't top draw, his customer service was gold standard. Little tip, buy a zeppelini for the next day and the powder sugar makes an amazingly tasty glaze, and definitely dont miss out on their Garlic knots!!

Everytime I am or know someone who is travelling to New York, along with Katz Deli, Mancinis will be the food joint I will be recommending!

ALSO the price undercuts everywhere at no expense to quality. I couldn't believe how much 3 slices and 2 large drinks cost us!

I have to say, my family and I have been coming here for years. It just gets better and better. From the food, service and menu options. In my opinion, the best in Bay Ridge.

Service: Always above and beyond. The staff is always accommodating and fast. They are all so friendly and seem to enjoy the job.

Food: If there is one thing I would recommend, it's the pepperoni wheel. I used to get them as a kid and they were a small roll the size of your fist, here they are the size of your head and can feed at least 3 people. Super creamy with the cheesiness and awesome flavor. It's a must buy. Can't forget to mention the garlic knots! BUY THEM!! I'm not much for specialty pies/slices but they have a bunch, and they do look good. Regular cheese and pepperoni are my go-to and are always on point. They also have chicken rolls, pasta, salad, soups and other lunch and dinner items on the menu. It's a very robust menu for a pizza joint.

Cleanliness: Never saw an issue that would make me feel like I didn't want to buy anything. They are clean and always wipe down tables after a guest leaves.

Delivery: Prompt and food is still hot (if you call directly) they do have a promotion via Slice for a discount, but we just call if not picking up.
