Hibachi Master — Restaurant in New York

Honestly, not sure how many times I ordered from this place, I go there every other day since I moved to Bay Ridge. The wait time is usually not long, but I still prefer to preorder and pick up. If I find good places (there’s only couple of them) I stay loyal to them forever since I don’t like experimenting with food. I have tried sushi in so many places, honestly it’s hard to find the good ones. This place probably serves best sushi in Brooklyn, at the same time it’s cheaper than other places. I have tried most items from the menu and all the deep fried sushi rolls/special rolls are fire. I put my extremely picky friends on this sushi which tells a lot. I do not recommend.

Perhaps it was because I went in late in the evening (8:30 pm) but the sesame chicken over rice was small marble sized bits and the chicken with broccoli was literally rice packed in all of the tray slots and sparse/dried chicken covering it (think teriyaki chicken, hold the teriyaki)

Either way the flavor was not great and quite expensive considering that they are selling mass produced food that sits all day under a heating element.

2 stars for the benefit of the doubt, because my inebriated friend ate his food, said it was good, but later ended passing it back up (perhaps unrelated, perhaps not…)

The food is alright, but the two times I’ve been the first being with my 2yo one of the workers was standing not even 5ft away from the door smoking a cigarette with all the smoke going in the door. The second time I was alone but once I went in and ordered my food the guy that was standing at the door smoking a cigarette came in proceeded to put some hand sanitizer on his hands and then went to help finish making my food they were platting, without washing his hand or putting gloves on.
