So I attempted to order from this restaurant a few months back, but there was an issue where the delivery app didn't reflect the restaurant's current posted hours. I called the restaurant and ended up speaking to the owner through an after-hours forwarded call. Turned out they were closed and couldn't fulfill my order, but the owner was extremely friendly, genuinely passionate about his food, and even offered to take care of me on my next order. I told him I would try again soon, but I'd have to say it wasn't soon enough. I just didn't realize at the time how much I truly missed out that night.
I finally ordered this evening, and I am blown away by the flavors and quality. I ordered the beef kabob plate, eggplant burani, sambosa, and I couldn't resist getting some wings. The kabob plate came with house seasoned basmati, and a simple salad of romaine, cucumber, and Roma tomato. The beef was extremely tender, superbly seasoned, as was the rice, and the salad components were still crisp despite being in a warm container, which tells me they were undoubtably fresh. The eggplant burani was reminiscent of babaganough, but with a heavy roasted garlic undertone, and served warm. It came with a lavash-like flatbread, and paired well with the red, green, and white sauces included on the side. The sambosa was also delicious, and was like a flat, rectangular, Indian samosa with thicker, chewier fried dough, and filled with ground meat (I think seasoned lamb and beef) instead of spiced mashed potato and veggies. It too went particularly well with the included sauces. Lastly, the wings were ordered as the sauced variant, and they did not disappoint. The glaze was a sort of home-made buffalo sauce with Arabic spices, and came with a side of bleu cheese dip. There was not a lot of meat on the wings, but the meat was very tender and flavorful indicating that it was well-sourced and of very good quality.
All in all, I was very satisfied with the meal. The portions were enough for my wife and myself, but where these guys really shined was with their quality. Everything was fresh and made with fervor, from the ingredients to the final product. And I cannot stress enough the quality of their meat. You can really taste the difference. I hope these guys stick to their guns and don't change a thing, because its perfect the way it is. Forget Halal Guys or any other halal...
Read moreWhere do I start...words cannot express how amazing my experience was at this restaurant and how delicious the food is. Let's first start with the cleanliness of this restaurant. From the time I walked into the restaurant, I felt comfortable to try the food. The restaurant was spotless, clean and give a sense of home feeling. The customer service was exceptional. They were ready and attentive to my needs. I couldn't decide what to eat and the owner assisted me with deciding based on what I said I usually like to eat. The owner is very down to earth and welcoming too.
I had the sambosa as my appetizer...OMG!! To express how tasty and delicious it was, it's like my taste buds exploded. It was cooked to perfection...crispy, light and very tasty. I'll definitely return to have this again.
For my main course, I tried the lamb plate...DELICIOUSLY cooked to perfection! The rice is to die for...I've had Mediterranean food in the past but never tasted rice like this...coupled with the various sauces. I had both the green and white sauce...Yummy!!!! Everything was amazingly delicious! I'll definitely visit this restaurant again and refer all my friends, family and co-workers to Fire Kabob.
Very cozy, clean dine in or take out restaurant with food that tastes homemade and out of this world. I'm happy I decided to walk into Fire Kabob. You have to try the food to understand!...
Read moreMy group of 6 came here after walking around the Christmas house decorations in Dyker Heights and the name of this place was no lie. This place was fire. Service was incredible and the food was better.
We ordered a large plate of 1/2 Lamb and 1/2 chicken as our entree, an order of the meat sambusa, and an order of fries.
The sambusa and fries came first which we ate with the 3 incredible house made sauces. The sambusa was crunchy on the outside and filled with a delicious well seasoned meat on the inside. That paired with the green sauce was delicious. The fries were also great although in the future I'll try either the lentil soup or the Kurma.
Lastly the plate, again, was fire. The chicken and lamb were very flavorful and tender, which was a joy to eat. Served on a bed of rice and a salad, it all paired so well together with the juiciness of the meat, the crunch of the salad, and the rice. It all came together for an incredible flavor mixture which was even further expanded upon with the sauces available. Each adding a novel and delicious...
