This place is like the girl with the curl in the middle of her forehead … when it’s good it’s very very good and when the service is bad… we came at 3 pm and it was packed .. the personal pizza is fresh and delicious! I asked about getting the breaded eggplant panini with the sauce cheese and eggplant on a plate to which the worker barked no only in panini and then…. The remarkably friendly gentleman (mashgiach ?)at the cash register area heard my request and made it for me on a plate and heated it in the microwave with a smile. Lovely service!! The salads are popular here and looked very fresh and very ample portions. They had run out of seltzer which in a kosher cafe is kinda like running out of salt in my Opinion. The tables are knee to elbow so don’t expect to have private conversations here- but it’s great place for eavesdropping.. very central location New hours Sunday 8-3pm And Monday - Thursday 7-6pm, friday 7-2pm

Update March 2024: Very rude Spanish employee. the nice rabbi saved the day and served us instead of him. 5 stars for the rabbi. Original review: 2022: In the big picture I wouldn’t want to come here again. I bought from this place two times,Customer service is pretty poor, The prices our pretty particular for a kosher place which means outrageous, every small little thing you would ask for your bagel will raise the price by a minimum of one and a half dollar’s. Second time I’ve been here I bought among other stuff eight bagels for a take away when I came home I found them to be pretty dry as if they weren’t fresh from today.

Completely average bagel place. The main plus of this restaurant is that it is Cholov Israel. Prices are not competitive. Didn’t enjoy the cream cheese bagel. Cream cheese tastes like butter more than cream cheese. Bagel itself was ok. Not mind blowing. The corn muffin was good 👍🏻. It tasted as if it was dairy even though it was marked as plain ou and not as ou dairy. I really hope that they don’t add milk products to unmarked products. To conclude, if I’m on the area and can’t wait a while, I’ll buy again.

This is the third time that we have eaten at Milk and Honey. We reserved judgement until now. We are giving Milk and Honey two stars because appreciate locating a fast food kosher restaurant in Midtown Manhattan. However, we do not appreciate the following:

  1. The tables and much of the restaurant were not clean. We had to clean the tables and the seats ourselves before we could sit down.
  2. Staff was very grudging and unfriendly. We felt like they were doing us a favor by taking our order. When the order was ready, it was literally thrown at us across the counter.
  3. Prices were extremely high, especially for this kind of self-service fast food restaurant. Soup and a panini at Milk and Honey today cost us practically as much as we paid for a full course, full service, meal at Sunflower in Brooklyn yesterday. The only difference was the generous tip we left at the latter. And the meal at Sunflower included appetizer and dessert!
  4. While we satisfied our hunger with kosher food at Milk and Honey we did not find the food flavorful or enjoyable. It all tasted the same. All in all, our three experiences at Milk and Honey left us sad and disappointed. Good kosher restaurants of any kind in Manhattan are precious and few. Milk and Honey can and should do...

Monday, July 24 approx 11:45AM.

Customer Service is terrible at the NYC 46th location. I was a patron to this store and as of today I will no longer go to this store. Incident: I had asked the server (male) at the bagel counter did he have whole wheat bagles. His response was 'I have plain, everything, whole wheat and raisin'. When I proceeded to ask for a whole wheat bagel his response was nasty and disrespectful and said 'don't you listen' I told you no whole wheat'. I apologized even though I dont think heard wrong. Then he proceeded with a nasty tone in front of other customers 'what do you want'. At that point I realized he had little respect for customers. I did not purchase a sandwich which would have cost close to $15. Instead I found another bagel shop just blocks away go forward. I hope this issue at this store was just an exception and...
