Morgan's Brooklyn Barbecue — Restaurant in New York

I just left from this restaurant today 7/26/18 at 10pm. The service today wasn’t good. My boyfriend and I were sat down and waited 10 minutes for our waitress to arrive. We ordered our drinks and food all in one. We received our food first it was really fast. But the drinks took a long time to come about another 10 mins. I got my drink which was the bourbon lemonade and sweet tea and it was so strong it literally tasted like it was straight bourbon and a splash of ice tea no lemonade. Terrible I tried sending it back right away but my waitress was busy waiting all other tables that I had to pull someone from behind the bar to take my drink and switch it for a rum and coke because I figured you can’t ruin a rum and Coke. Turns out you can ! My rum and coke was also terrible, mainly rum and a splash of very flat coke. Me and my boyfriend asked for the bill and that took about 15 mins but the waitress took the bill and didn’t notice that I didn’t even touch my second drink so when we got the bill back I noticed she charged us for both of the drinks that I didnt touch. But she walked off so fast I couldn’t even point that out. She finally comes back I point out the two drinks I didn’t drink because they were way too strong she tells me she will have her manager take the drinks off. That took another 15 mins. Then the waitress brings back the same drink (rum and coke) that she said her manager watered down and asked if I still wanted it I said no. Because that drink looked as though they literally poured out half of it and poured more of that flat coke in it, with only 3 lil ice cubes floating at the top. I was so offended. So she took it away and then the manager shows up and approached my table so rudely saying “so what was wrong with your drink?” I told her it was too strong so she says “ so even after me calming it down a bit you still won’t take it” I said “no, we are leaving now so it doesn’t make sense to take it” so she says “ok, fine, sorry” and then runs off with the drink and bill and it takes a million years to charge our card. The waitress finally brings our card back and apologizes. We still ended up tipping the waitress we figured it wasn’t her fault. She seemed like the only waitress working tonight. But the manager there was just blatantly disgusting and rude. The food was very good but the manager left a bad taste, I’m...

Probably will not be going back. Had high hopes for this and it failed unfortunately. First off, service was nice but really slow. We sat outside and you can tell from photos it wasn't particularly busy. And our food somehow took a long time for a small tray. Maybe they were cooking a fresh batch I said. But when the food came it wasn't the case. So many things went wrong too. First they ran out of steak which was the main dish I was really there to try. But they didn't tell us this until 10 min after we placed our order in. Then we revised our order and somehow the waiter didn't understand us because he brought out the order incorrectly. We changed it to have the ribs, brisket and sausage combo (it made more sense to get the combo instead of ordering the items individually) but he still brought out an additional ribs that we originally ordered when we were just gonna do steak and a side of ribs. I also ordered the cheeseburger Mac and cheese off the special Mac and cheese category menu for $12 thinking it would be larger than the $7 side menu. Nope. Was even more disappointed. Smallest cup of Mac and cheese for $12. It's the size of a small soup you get from a grocery store. I expected a little more of an entree size for $12, given it's just pasta for highway robbery. Now for the actual food taste part? This is where I was wrong about it being fresh for it taking so long. Since we had two orders of ribs I thought they'd be the same. No. The one on the tray was old and dry and too salty. While the one on the side was nice and tender. The brisket was dry and not fresh either. My brother ended up being sick all day the next day from the ribs since he ate the ones on the tray. Would definitely not recommend. The Instagram photos from foodies and bloggers proved to be a trap. This was truly a disappointing visit. In their defense, they did understand the ordering mistake and didn't charge us for the extra ribs. But still didn't do anything about the Mac and cheese portion size when I mentioned it. It really is disappointing for how much you pay for. It wasn't even that good to be worth it...

As much as I would like to say that I had a pleasant experience I did not. We were off to a great start, we were seated within five minutes inside. The server approached our table within five minutes and informed to give her a few minutes to wrap up a table. We responded that it was no trouble as we were not ready to order. The waitress returned 10 minutes later and took our order. We ordered the fried chicken platter for each of my kids, the holy trinity for my husband and the three pigs + a baked potatoe for myself along with a blackberry mojito and a coconut margarita. As we waited for our food she brought out the blackberry mojito and said she would be back with the second drink. That was the last time we saw our waitress. Honestly. Our kids meal arrived within 20 minutes without our food. We were not informed that the chicken meal was spicy although I specifically stated it was for our children ages 6 and 10. At this point my kids wanted to begin eating and there was no silverware. I asked a nearby waiter if he could provide us with some and he did. He ended up taking over our table after that. At this point we waited an additional 20 minutes for my husband and my food, still no sight of the waitress. Apparently she placed the orders separately so they arrived at different times. The server had the manager come to our table and he gave us a condescending response that the chicken was spicy because of the black pepper and did not mention the server or our wait. We received our food which was gamey and over cooked. I do have to say that it was flavorful but for something slow cooked 6 hours it should be falling apart. When the bill finally arrived the waitress had 3 order of corn bread that we had not received nor ordered along with a loaded potato. The extra items were removed and we paid our 124.12 bill and left 22.34 tip for the server who tried his best to fix our evening....
