Tl;dr Very nice people, very nice service, loved the customer desk and front desk they were really incredible! I just 1) didn't get glasses 2) my prescription was inaccurate.
My low rating is just from 2 things:
They verified my insurance included me getting a pair of glasses and they just didn't give me glasses. I talked to them about it several times and had email correspondence and just... never got glasses. And I don't mean "a frame that I liked" because I was down for any pair just to use when driving but I just couldn't get glasses.
So it was kinda a waste for me insurance wise.
Since they wouldn't give me glasses, I bought some with the prescription they gave on Zenni but they required I strain my eyes to see... I also remember during my eye appointment they gave me glasses that required me to strain really hard to see and even then just a few seconds with me being unable to read the chart. I remember mentioning it but we didn't do another exam or anything to fix it. I was told my eyes just needed time to adapt but 2 weeks later and I was still struggling.
Eventually I pay out of pocket for another eye exam somewhere else and I get a different prescription, different numbers, and a pair of glasses included that don't require strain and improved my vision dramatically.
Advice for the team? Maybe don't prescribe people a prescription if they can't read a letter chart? Say in advance if you can't provide glasses. If there were no glasses that I could get it would have saved us both time to send me to another location. Your team deserves SO much praise! They made this whole experience a LOT smoother. Especially their front staff I felt heard and understood and learned a lot for my first time...
   Read moreAbsolutely terrible experience one year ago — writing this because I’m due for a new prescription and am reminded of why I won’t be returning. I went in for an eye exam in order to replace my older pair, as I was due for updated lenses after two years. I was also hoping to have a prescription closer to the contacts I’d been wearing for the past year and a half for reference. The glasses they ordered for me were horrendous. I was ultimately given the completely wrong prescription to the point where it felt like I was falling face first into the sidewalk when I took a step. I’m not sure how the glasses that were ordered for me were so incredibly off, but they insisted it was what their machine was reading as my prescription. After complaining, they conducted a second eye exam (with a lot of unfriendliness and attitude) where I brought my contacts in again and was told they’re the completely wrong prescription and that I’d just have to “get used to” the feeling of the prescription they’d given me for the glasses, which is absolutely preposterous. These glasses that they reordered still did not work and were barely any better than the first pair. They refused to help me any more and I have not used the glasses once because I begin to develop a headache within ten minutes as my right eye is completely blurry in them. Complete waste of my time, incredibly infuriating experience, and potentially broken machinery that they trust over their patients’ experiences AND OTHER EYE DOCTORS’ prescriptions.    Read moreCompletely disappointed, I tried my luck here and will never do it again. I spent hundreds on my glasses for them to break not even a few months later. I went in two separate times to fix them but stopped even trying afterwards since the lenses kept popping out and frame itself was bent out of shape and they just couldn’t fix them properly. They were doing what I would do, pop them back in and tighten the sides.
I call in to check about a replacement since I haven’t been with these glasses in months, just to be told if I want to replace them I’d have to dish out another few hundred because they won’t cover a replacement and any warranty on it (which I was unaware of ) had expired. And the prescription expired as well. It’s been 1 year. When I went in to fix the lenses and frame previously, why did this warranty never come up by anyone If my glasses could have been replaced then?
I was billed for extra things I had no idea about in the first place, even though I asked multiple times in person what exactly am I paying for. The receipt I was sent just had my total amount paid, there wasn’t a breakdown so I went off the trust of the person who claimed I paid for the eye exam and glasses.
Overall just extremely disappointed with how little they attempted to help fix and/or replace the glasses after spending so much money on them, they couldn’t care less about helping people see, just want more money...
