The staff at Mother's is really friendly and overall amazing. They have a good selection of draft beer, that is always served at a great temperature. Unfortunately, that's where the pros end. The burgers at Mother's are unbelievably bad. These are the worst burgers I've had in NYC. It's like the owners and/or cooks just don't care about the food. I'm writing this review after eating here twice. I gave them the benefit of doubt the first time. But my second visit confirmed that these guys really get away with serving inedible burgers. We had the regular and veggie burgers. The regular one was devoid of flavor. The veggie burger on both occasions was deep fried and left in the fryer for far too long. The fries though were good on both occasions. They also tend to not have their AC on, on warmer days. I will not be visiting again. There's a lot of good options for food in the area and I'd gladly pay a bit more and get a quality burger...

Read moreThe burgers used to be really good here but I do not know what happened. Things have definitely changed. Firstly, my burger was charred beyond recognition and honestly, I do not think eating a burnt burger is all that healthy for you. Secondly, the bun is different. It used to be a sesame seed bun and this one is just a regular plain potato bun (not even toasted). Lastly, the tangy mayo sauce used to quite delicious, but now they have added a spicy kick to it and for someone who can not take too much spice, they should give people an alternative like a non-spicy version that is not ketchup. The quality does not justify the price. Sadly, if burger king can make it taste better for cheaper, then I would...
