I am so honoured to be one of the first 15 people to write a review for this wonderful up and coming new place. One word to describe the entire experience, Wow!! The food - incredible, the hospitality - the best that I received during my trip to NYC, the vibe - welcome to your Mom’s house, Let’s Eat!! I’m from Ireland, and during my 1 week visit to NYC, I was blessed to stumble across Nana’s House and experience the wonderful hospitality and food that they give. I couldn’t help but notice the name of the business, I called my grandmothers “Nana” when I was a boy. I couldn’t help but go in and look. The staff was so lovely and warm. She took time to chat to us and get to know us - which is so rare in this city. The food tasted amazing, just what I needed before heading back to the airport.
I was so excited to hear that this is a new business. I hope the nearby community, and others from afar will notice the same bit of “lovely” that we did when we stopped by. Please go and support this fantastic new business - you won’t be disappointed. They also run fun events such as bingo and coffee raves!
Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience. We are glad that the last place we ate in NYC was at Nana’s House. We hope we can return one day.
Best of luck,...
Read moreVery disappointing experience. I stopped by to buy a seltzer water and use the restroom. They sold me the seltzer, but once I paid they told me I could not use the bathroom because they were closed. I understand that may have been the case, but in that situation they should not have sold me anything. Their hours on google maps said they close at 6 on Sundays, but this occured at 7:40, adding to my confusion. The doors were open and the lights were on, with no indication they were closed. I felt like they took advantage of my situation, and did not empathize with me. I will not be coming here in the future. There are plenty of other nearby restaurants with staff that are kinder and more...
Read moreNanas is an absolute neighborhood gem. The owners, Hilary and her mother Daisy, are the sweetest and kindest duo - and they make AMAZING food. The chicken and waffles is top notch, and their breakfast sandwich is the best in Bushwick.
It’s also a great spot to take your laptop and do some work over a coffee and pastry (or Nanas famous carrot cake 🤩) during the day.
They are dog lovers, so my fellow dog parents, def stop in and say hi and grab a treat for you and the...
