Ninth Street Espresso — Restaurant in New York

Went to this place to have a coffee and had my dog with me. I was told no dogs allowed so I grab my dog on my lap. Its not a place with seating at least when I went there. There was no chairs or tables inside, so obviously would be to go. I asked if I could grab and go. And the baristas refused to serve me pointing there was a line and I should go. I've been coming to this Ninth Street Espresso location for 11 years now, through an engagement, into a wedding, and into fatherhood. Now my son and I go on Saturday mornings and it's every bit as lovely as it was when I first stepped through the door. Pretty let down given the recommendations I received for the place and reviews here. I thought the espresso was fine but really it was a pretty lackluster atmosphere and even though there were a couple other people sitting here with me, the barista seemed disinterested and distracted, even when new customers came in.
