Tompkins Square Dog Run — Attraction in New York

What a great and clean dog park! Love how it’s divided into two sections: small dogs (under 25lbs) and all dogs. Also has a very secure entrance gate with an additional wire gate in the small dog section. My pup had a blast playing here with all the other cute doggies. Plenty of space to run around and rest. They had a water bowl that had continuous flow of new water for dogs to drink from, and plenty of benches to sit and dog watch. Loved how all the owners were attentive and cleaned up after their dog immediately. Definitely will be back over the weekends...

If you haven't been in a while, they put down artificial turf in the small dog run. There are a few ways to feel about this, but personally I love it. I have a long haired white dog, and previously a trip to the dog park (almost any dog park in NYC) meant a bath after was inevitable - too much loose dirt and mud. But with the turf, my dog stays pretty clean... and gets out of the dreaded bath. I just hope it's not the toxic...

Always a blast at Tompkins Dog Run. Perfect place to take your pup for a good time in the east village. There is one for small dogs that has artificial turf as well as a larger one with dirt. Both are usually booming with activity and tennis balls galore. Owners and dogs always enjoying themselves. Highly recommend going. Never...
