The purpose of this review is not to hate or harm this business in any way. That being said, I hope you take this review as an informative review.

Atmosphere: This place is a small restaurant, clean for the most part, and you'll feel like you are in a Latin American restaurant right away.

Service: So, service can vary depending on which lady is taking orders. The times I've been there, a lady has been really wonderful in every way. There are also other ladies that simply take your order with a face that expresses stress and discontent. Thus, minus one star. I really don't mind them because you see that kind of people everywhere. Overall, I can say that I haven't felt any sort of disrespect from them. I do think there is always room for improvement.

Food: There is a mixture of good and not so good food here. First, let's point out the good side. The broiled chicken, which they call it baked chicken, is pretty good. Some dishes from their breakfast and daily lunch menus are good. Their sandwiches are big and good as well. Sometimes, they usually give a small free side. For example, today was a small salad, another day was guacamole, and one day, I remember they also gave corn chips. Now, the not so good side has to do with the seasoning. It might be personal preference, but they do have some dishes that are a bit saltier than others. It happened to me with a soup. Most of the food from the sideboard, except the rice, is also a bit oily. So, you can imagine who your plate will look like if you chose three things that sautéed with oil. I usually choose one and make my own salad. I also wanted to order a fruity bowl, but they didn't have it. Lastly, the portion of the rice is overwhelming too much. You have to ask them not to serve you too much rice because you end up with more rice than the two sides. Thus, minus one star.

Price: Prices can range between 3.25 and 27.50. Depending on what you want and taking the factors above into consideration, I'd say...

Customer service is excellent. Festive Latin music ( a bit loud at times.) Very friendly and courteous staff Very clean although I feel a little claustrophobic during the lunch rush. I visit two or three times a week for takeout and buy a few meals and sides each time.

The seating area is a nice idea but, it's in front of the refrigerator and regardless of how many times I say " excuse me" nobody ever moves and staff will walk over and get what ever I want ( with a friendly smile .)

Mac and cheese is DELICIOUS!! The food tastes good with authentic Latin flavors but, they NEVER get the beef or chicken stew right!

The beef stew is basically just steak and onions , gravy maybe one piece of potato.

No cubed beef, peas, carrots . It's not a true stew . In the cold weather I enjoy treating myself too a stew .

The same with the chicken stew . It's just chicken and more of a sauce.

Both are missing the components of a true stew ( does have that Latin flavor.)

I'm from Puerto Rico and I cook those meals myself. I've ordered both many many times and finally gave up. Hopefully they will get it right.

If I'm in the mood for steak and onions I will buy it there. The prices are very affordable and I haven't been able to finish one complete meal ( bonus, I have another meal for later or the next day, if I wish.)

If you're in the mood for tasty Latin flavor, definitely go in and treat yourself and don't forget the side dishes all of which are yummy.

I removed one star because they claim they have beef stew but it's not stew at all nor is it chicken stew.

Although, I would buy...

Pretty upset with my lunch today. Ordered chicharron and the skin is completely covered in hair. What's the point of getting chicharron if you can't eat the skin? A quick once over with a knife during preparation would have solved this problem. Usually, it's very good but I don't know what happened today. Feels like a waste of my money

**UPDATE 2/11/25 ... Definitely DONE with this restaurant. Got a small order of chicharron with white rice for $7 last week. Came in today for a small order with no rice and they charged me $11!!! The lady who charged me had the nerve to tell me my order was a medium. How is that even possible when I got the smallest container they have and a lunch special costs about that price!! See the picture!! When I questioned the price she told me she raised the prices ....

Yea ok. I hope the OWNER sees this because I frequent this place often but not anymore. Go to the Colombian Restaurant across the street, at least they are consistent with...

Food was ok, nothing to rave about. Moro rice unfortunately tasted like 'instant' and lacked flavor. Meat was tasty but salty. Lunch prices are different based on what meat you choose. I'd give it another try 😉. Oh and the woman serving can be a little nicer, she seemed annoyed by questions but with no menu and the restaurant being new you can expect customers to ask about prices and what items are.
