It’s a nice Chinese restaurant in the neighborhood. We tried pan-fried dumplings, Wonton Soup dumplings, cucumber and black mushroom, and chicken congee, and Sichuan cold noodles. Pan-fried chive dumplings: 5 stars. Abundant chives, fried well! Skin was crispy. Chicken wonton soup: 4 stars. I think it meets the bar. It reminds me of the same dish from home. However, I think the broth can be improved. There’s not much veggies in this except for a few boiled lettuce. Sichuan cold noodles: 4 stars. Not bad… with garlic chilly oil you can’t go wrong with it. The flavor is pretty good, but it can be improved with details as Sichuan cold noodles… Cucumber and black mushroom: 3.5 stars. This is just Ok. The dish comes in a plastic container, not a great presentation. It’s too sweet for my taste. And cucumbers are more like picked and not freshly made. Chicken congee: 1 stars. I am sorry… I was really excited for this dish, because I love congee. But it really wasn’t good. Everything is overcooked. The veggies in it feels like frozen veggies… I was very disappointed. Overall it’s a nice spot. I may comeback if I am hungry and need food, but I would not seek...
Read moreI walked in and ordered the "Veggie Noodle Soup (Vegan) Mix veggie broth, fresh mushrooms, zucchini, carrots, celery, onion." listed on the menu for $10.25 (it's also on all online menus for all locations). The complete expressionless and unfriendly girl - who always seem annoyed and bored behind the counter - rang my order up and was about to charge me almost $14. I questioned why I was being charged that much if the menu says $10.25, and she told me they changed it to the "Vegan Ramen" dish. WELL, if you changed it and the Veggie Noodle Soup is still listed on menu for $10.25, you MUST tell your customers instead of just taking their money and serving them a different meal other than the one they ordered. Not to say all menus should have been updated as soon as the change was implemented. It wouldn't have been that big of a deal if the girl was nicer and more communicative, but I...
Read moreThis is my second time here. 1st time had the pork dumplings (amazing) and pork belly buns (drool worthy). This time I came back for the pork belly buns (because they were so delicious) and also ordered the veg Bing and bubble tea. Way more food than I needed, but both sounded so good. I’ve never had bing and had no idea what to expect. It’s a fascinating mix of flavors and textures and you can choose how 🌶 you want it. It’s definitely best eaten soon after preparing because of the wonton in it. It feels very much like a grab and go street food made with high quality ingredients. The Bing was also more substantial than I imagined and I was full before I finished it, so a good amount of food for the price point. The bubble milk tea was perfect. They didn’t ask for my sugar level preference but it was perfectly...
