After dinner, we were looking for somewhere to have drinks on a Friday night. Some of the places we tried to go to were packed and then we stumbled across Orion Bar and boy are we glad we did! Although it wasn’t packed, there were a decent amount of people inside and going in and out.

We ordered the cocktails: Hot Pom, Space Jam, Banana Milk, and then Cosmic Spritzer (Non alcoholic). Everyone enjoyed their drinks and presentation was on point. A bottle of Soju was also ordered.

We also ordered fries to share while we chatted and played games (we brought our own). Fries came piping hot with a ssamjang aioli on the side. To be honest, glad to have tried the aioli but couldn’t really care for it. Of course, a little biased since half of us aren’t huge fans of the mayo-flavor. Taste-wise, we all preferred having the fries without it.

The staff though are super friendly, chill, and very kind! Interior is well thought out in terms of seating and pretty clean from what we could tell. Would definitely come back and maybe try their noodle/food options if we didn’t already...

We split the fries. Hot, crisp, nearly indecent. Seoul Sisters seasoning. Ssamjang aioli. The drinks came next. I had the Terra Michelada [gochujang, yuja, pomegranate, Maggi, soy]. Deep. Funky. Thrillingly weird. They had the Space Spam, a fluorescent blended cocktail served in a spam can. It knew it was ridiculous. But it worked somehow. Everything worked.

I’d taken a break from dating. Needed space. Needed time. But then we sat on the patio again. Different night. Different drinks. And I noticed a loose curl near the top of their head catch the last of the July sun. We barely touched, but it seemed to me something celestial gripping at our fates.

I don’t know how to describe any of this. But some gravity doesn’t announce itself. It just pulls. A belted constellation. Slow and sweet. Until you’re...

This place rules.

Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. The food is delicious, and the drinks are dangerous.

The Space Spam cocktail is hands down the best frozen cocktail I've had in the city. It's stiff, smooth and disarming in its presentation (a Spam can with a cocktail umbrella).

As for the food, all the dishes would make for a great group hang, a date night, or some solo Mental Health Day comfort therapy. The shrimp chips with roe and mascarpone dip were a savory introduction that I would relive any day of the week. The Kimchi Carbonara will prevent me from ordering carbonara anywhere else, ever again, seriously. And the kimchi pimento cheese Patty Melt is a decadent, self congratulatory treat that has me thinking of WHEN do I deserve to come...

Love the atmosphere of Orion so much! Great selection of well crafted cocktails and the food menu has a ton of great options that paired so well with the drinks! My faves were soju tonic, old fashioned and melona! If you're into smokey drinks try the space spam. I loved it and love that it came in a spam container. For food I could not get enough of the shrimp chips & dip, kimchi seasoned fries and DO NOT SLEEP ON the clam soup. It was sooo good. Will be back very soon!
