I live 2 blocks from this particular location so frequently shop there for 5/6 years and have had issues with the rude blue haired cashier over her rudeness and Millie the heavy set older Black lady who’s always running her mouth for no reason so DO NOT APPROACH EITHER since management doesn’t do anything except reward them with checks. Today takes the cake with the loud Black cashier with eyelashes who screamed to her Latina cashier coworker yelling out rude inappropriate comments ABOUT A MAKE PATRON which I believed was directed at my special needs male friend as the Latina had already verbally insulted days prior so I asked her (Black eyelashes) to please not do that which resulted into a juvenile shouting match between us on her part as she rang my food. Yes I was stuck with her nonsense getting my food rang. I brought it up to RYAN the Latin manager standing nearby standing observing witnessing everything and who refuses to acknowledge you or give you eye contact might I add and he pretended it was fine and explained they were referring to someone they know so I glanced to see who was waiting to pay in line and there were only female patrons except at the end of the line was a male patron but when he reached the register no one greeted him out of the ordinary which proved my point that THEY RUDELY COMMENT OUTLOUD TO EACHOTHER ABOUT PAYING CUSTOMERS. These two cashiers are usually on opposite registers so everyone paying hears their rude comments. This current management needs an overhaul and these unprofessional employees need immediate replacement. BEWARE you won’t be the bud of their jokes when you get in line to pay. (Ryan, Millie & blue haired girl seem dissatisfied with their jobs so why not explore other employment ? The 2 Brown rude cashiers need to go too. BEWARE! DO NOT SHOP HERE. After shopping here for years, I once noticed that they charged me $8.99 for strawberries labelled $5.99. I thought it was an error and didn’t say anything.

Next time, they charged me for a sauce twice instead of the 1 I had on my cart. They fixed it right away when I pointed it out.

After two strikes, I became extremely cautious and only go here when it’s an emergency since it’s right under my building. I have noticed this happening to other customers too.

It happened a third time where they tried to charge me an extra $2 for lettuce.

This happened a fourth time today when I bought a salmon that was labelled $18.99 and they charged me $21.99 for it. Since I only bought two items, it was easy to see. I didn’t notice until I had already paid. As soon as I pointed it out, the cashier didn’t even have to check what the correct price was and immediately corrected it- making it clear that this is an organized scam that they are running.

They will steal a few dollars per customer and nobody notices because if you buy 5+ items, with taxes and all it’s impossible to notice. If you shop here frequently, it adds up after you pay an extra $2-10 per visit.

Once I told my family, they also said the prices don’t match what they are charged and if you pay cash they give you the wrong change.

In 2024, this is simply unacceptable and forbidden under NYC Consumer...

The is generally a nice, small store with pleasant, competent employees. The prices are medium-high but lower than some in the neighborhood. They have one recurrent problem - they put up signs for sale items that do not scan correctly at the register. This morning, they had a big sign for crackers at 2/$6 but they rang up as $4.59 each at the register. This is not the first time I have had problems with this item.

The problem has gotten so predictable, I have resorted to taking pictures of sale signs to show cashiers at the register if needed. Everyone makes the adjustment and apologizes (some more sincerely than others), but the underlying problem has not improved, and at some point becomes willful. This is VERY SERIOUS. My next step will be to report them to the state of NY.

In the meantime, watch your items as they are scanned and examine your receipts carefully.
