Came here two weeks ago with friends and we sat outside on the sidewalk, and it started pouring so they moved us under the tented area outside. Service was so slow. There was rain coming through the tent and onto our table and food. We ordered two tiramisus, didn’t get it after 30 minutes so we let them know and they said it was coming, waited 10 more minutes and this time my husband went out in the rain and into the restaurant and they said it was coming. Still nothing after a solid 7 minutes. Then we notioned to them again and one of the main guys said it’s raining we can’t have the server come out in the rain. They have to wait. Um? There had been several instances in the 45 minutes prior where the rain had stopped. We were hoping to be done and leave during that time as we were traveling with babies. When we finally said we wanted the check and to forget about the desserts, they brought it out within minutes. It was not worth the wait. Disappointed that they would not even comp the desserts after all that. Very poor service, not professional, and truly such a...

I order two pizza to go at this restaurant, went I got there to retrieve my order I was on a business call so I stayed a side of the door entrance I was about to conclude my call wen I got approach by a gentleman in a suit inquiring whom I was not in the friendliest way, like a person does not have the right to stand on the side walk in free America, I then introduced my self and business at that place to pick up my order and started by saying good evening and welcome to osteria paolas how may I assist you, as a way to maybe train a little bit that manager or supervisor on how hospitality should be practiced., I guess he felt called by a man of color with probably less academic achievements but certainly more education as for then the reaction was to said I was on the phone and to hold my previously paid order and with rudeness suggest if I still wanted my food like implying other wise, Shut and go, I can only hope for this person to find kindness and learn he’s on the HOSPITALITY business rude approach towards a person specially a customer it’s...

This was a disappointing experience from every aspect. When we arrived for lunch the restaurant was almost empty. We were seated promptly and menus were provided. Meatballs and salads were served but the entrees took forever to come out of the kitchen. Severs kept looking at our table, the restaurant was filling up and takeout orders kept being brought out for pick up, but nothing was served. As we were complaining to our server the food arrived. The Paccheri Spuntature sauce was steaming hot but the pasta was not. The Fettuccine and Omelette were OK but nothing out of the ordinary. The menu and check state they will give you a cash discount but what they don’t tell you is that all menu prices will be increased by +4% from the prices posted on the menu. On top of the increased prices they suggest you give a gratuity. Not only is your check 4% higher but they want you to tip on the higher total cost and your taxes are also based on the higher total. We cannot recommend and will...

I wanted an Italian meal after leaving the Guggenheim Museum (it was about a 3 minute walk). I dined alone. The service was quick and the meal (Salmon with purple cabbage) was good. My only wish was for warm bread (even though my waiter said it was warm, it arrived to me cold) and a non alcoholic drink menu (the bartender came to see me about non alcoholic drinks when I was 3/4 into my meal). I read previous reviews about the lack of customer service and while I personally didn’t have any issues (my waiter was great), I can see how rude service may be interpreted to others. There wasn’t a follow-up/check in when eating my meal (no biggie to me but maybe to others), my waiter did forget my straw (again no biggie to me since I grabbed the one returning from the restroom) and the staff aren’t overly friendly. A manager (my assumption) did ensure that I was receiving service when I first sat down. Restroom was also very clean, spacious by NY standards and had paper towels rather than a hand dryer.

Disappointed. Came here to celebrate a birthday and found a hair in my pizza. When I notified the waiter and pointed it out, he started telling me how outrageous it was to suggest it wasn’t mine. It was NOT mine, as I have a completely different hair length/texture than the one I found. He kept talking on and on about how the ventilation may have blown one of our hairs onto the pasta but it simply just wasn’t possible. He was rude through the experience, never once acknowledged that it may be their fault. This restaurant is filled with cheesy art as well- it makes you feel like you’re at a bad bed and breakfast. And I don’t know what was going on with the steak but I’ve never had steak that looks like that at any restaurant. That was supposed to be medium rare but looks like it was frozen and then boiled for a few minutes. Definitely not worth the $60.

Paola’s Osteria in NYC is Italian dining at its finest. Their specialty, the Capricciosa pizza, is pure perfection — layered with tender prosciutto cotto, artichokes, mushrooms, and olives on a beautifully charred Neapolitan crust. The flavors are balanced, authentic, and deeply satisfying — exactly what a true Capricciosa should be. The Margherita was equally divine, letting the fresh mozzarella, tomato, and basil shine in simplicity. Dessert was the sweetest finale: creamy pistachio and vanilla gelati paired with a light, luscious tiramisù topped with chocolate and fresh mint. With crisp Lurisia sparkling water to complement the meal, the experience felt like dining in Naples without leaving NYC. Paola’s Osteria is a true gem — the Capricciosa with prosciutto cotto is worth the trip alone, but the entire menu earns a well-deserved five stars.
